Epic Flying Gold....twice...
It FINALLY happened yesterday! After vigorously farming gas clouds in nagrand, my second 70 a holy paladin, has epic flying skill.
In retrospect, that's 10K gold earned now. Sad part is, I want to get a rogue up to 70 as well..... I don't know if I can do that again ![]() |

Re: Epic Flying Gold....twice...
I found my second 5k to be easier than the first.
It is time consuming but whatever Blizzard has done (or is doing) to the economy in WoW in preparation for Wrath of the Lich King has made gold very easy to come by. When I started playing WoW and prior to BC, having 400 gold was a major deal for me I just spent a good portion of my second 5k on the DarkMoon cards... If only $$ was this easy to make in real life..... |

2 level 70s x 200g ea per day easy from dailies = less than two weeks to third toon epic skill.
If you start now just doing the 10 on the Isle with the two you'd have the gold saved up by the time the third hits 70 to buy both skills and you wouldn't have to do the dailies for that everyday. |

Re: Epic Flying Gold....twice...
Epic flight makes money too, if you've got the right characters. If I ever get 5,000 gp all at once, my druid will get epic flight, and he's a miner/herber. Speed gathering, plus easy access to all the SSO dailies scattered around outlands (that's another 100g or more per day, plus a chance at a few badges).
The problem is, whenever I hit 2k gold or thereabouts, I see some gear that's totally worth buying, usually a belt. I bought a great tanking belt for my druid, and am pretty close to the belt of blasting for my warlock. Then I'll hit 2k again and think... "hmm, should I get a darkmoon: crusade?" I'm terrible at saving gold. |

Re: Epic Flying Gold....twice...
To be honest making gold is quite easy these days, especially via ZA/BT/MH sellruns and dailies. It's so easy to obtain gold when you're selling bears every 3 days and lots of BT/MH loot. A decent BT sellrun will net 30-40k gold (1600g each roughly) and bears usually give 5k-6k gold (600g each on average). That's 2800g a week if you sell 2 bears and have a decent BT sellrun. Add 1400g'ish for a week of dailies, and you're upto 4200g a week from BT, 2*ZA and a bunch of easy dailies without any extra farming/effort. If you've got multiple 70's and your guildies have lots of alts geared up enough to do timed ZA, that's 2 extra bears sold (another 1200g) and an extra 1400g per week per 70 alt you've got from dailies.
However, that's still an impressive achievement, so without derailing the thread further, grats! |

Re: Epic Flying Gold....twice...
Congratualtions! I know that's a good feeling.
I have 5k banked atm, waiting for my level 27 warrior to hit 70, and I"m working on the 5k for the third (or 22 slot bags, or buying crafting mats when Wrath hits). Of course, I'm a greedy, soul-less jewelcrafter (the trade-chat definition) and an enchanter, so making money is fairly easy for me. For all those others who might be struggling (or don't like dailies), I've adopted a few ideas from Kunzite's guide that have greatly increased my earnings. Y'all might wanna' look into it. |
