Example. You are a level 70 Warlock and some other 70 Druid for example tries to tell you how to play your character. I'm thinking maybe he has a Warlock too but nope, he tries to tell me to enslave the Princess in heroic MGT!! I tell him I can't enslave her and then comes "learn to play your class, Warlocks can enslave and banish demons" I say you are right but she cannot be enslaved or banished, he then goes off on the Priest and telling her which heals to use and when she should be healing.

I just shake my head and sighed.

Totally agree. I just left a guild i had just joined over this exact same thing.

At first it was the other warlocks telling me these totally incorrect things about me, then I was speaking with the raid leader, a Pally, and apparently he is where they got all their information from.

According to these people, with my current gear Affliction is the only spec for me, because the minimum stats for Destro are 202 Hit(yes), 1300 +Shadow(1100-1200 I've found is ok), and 30% +Crit(?!?!?!, I say 20% bare minimum, the closer to 25% the better, and I'm at about 24%).

I just had to /gquit, cause they obviously had no idea what they were talking about. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that there should possibly be one Aff lock, however, they already have one. So yeah. Not gonna sit there and let a Pally tell me things I know are untrue about my class, and basically tell me I'm wrong w/o even really giving me a chance to show him.

Also kinda funny, all their locks either gemmed for +Crit, or went for socket bonuses and a lot of Haste, with no real Haste gear yet. I mean, the Haste I guess I can understand as they are late BT getting ready for Sunwell. But seriously, gemming for Crit?

One of thee other major problems with that is someone who leveled a lock to like level 40 and think they know all there is to know.I think this is an even bigger problem for us locks because a lot of people think that locks are for noobs, and that anyone can play them. Which is just sad, for the most part I think they just hate getting crushed by us in PvP.

I got this once-I whispered a mage to put up a port to darn-5 idiots clicked it lol

I figured if i ever got it again i'd SS myself & /summon doomguard

I also had a priest (who happened to be GM of a the guild the tank for the run came from-arms/fury warrior i found out later-was in) tell me to enslave the big demon (1 that looks like he has a drill on his arm)that patrols back & forth near the bottom of the stairs in heroic mech-that can be done in normal but not in heroic. This was after the same priest ran through the mob at the top of the stairs & died-3 times in a row.
The tank actually told me to stop using dots as i was pulling aggro- & I was with 1 dot-Curse of Agony-after giving the tank 3 or 4 hits to gain aggro

Wow, that sounds like a pretty crappy tank imo. The priest....well....that is pretty self explanatory how bad he must have been.

Was doing a Zul Aman run as an external player...a kara-geared troll tank started to hit nalorakk, had like 300 tps (constantly)..I just couldnt dish out great numbers while a fury warrior did a good job (spikey or not spikey, that is the question.)
One of the healers advised me to soulshatter after 20 seconds on bossfights.

I agree that it's annoying to hear usless advice, but as a druid i hate to see warlocks that are incapable of seducing or something similar. Sadly i don't advice em anymore, too fed up for that.

lol.. I have to be honest though. Unless Im running with a group of people I know, I refuse to use seduce as a CC. The reason being is that it doesnt matter how "good" you are or how much "skill" you have, its a garbage CC. Period. It *will* at some point break early, it *will* at some point get resisted, and your succy *will* at some point die. That all fine if everyone knows these things, but they dont, and you get marked as a poor player. So yeah, no seduce for me :P
