Affliction in Outland?

Hi guys, need some major advice.

Ok got my UD lock to Outland yesterday. He is full affliction. I been using this as my guide Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft. Now back in the old lands, I could use my VW, take on a few mobs, move thru them pretty fast, and hardly die.

Well when I get to Outland, I take the quest to kill some orcs for there blood (you get a pretty nice wand as a reward). Anyway, I died a few times. I am not use to this lol. Oh, my gear is not the best btw.
So first, is the build above going to work? Maybe it's my strategy? My send the VW plan and dot might not be the way to go? Mobs are a lot tighter out there. Also I am a little scared to use my fear too with all the mobs around.

Now I been coming across locks that put points in affliction and then a few in demo. Is that a good way to go? And if so, what would my play style be like? In a way it kind of makes sence. I hardly ever sb anything. Then again, it might give up some usefullness for me in raids and instances.

If I have to part with my affliction, what would be the way to go then? Thing is I like affliction. UA is pretty cool and IHT is super helpful at times. Demo, seems like I would be a hunter and I dont have my IHT as a rogue defence. SL/SL, I hear you last long but dont do a lot of damage.
Oh I play a lot of solo, but probably going to start doing more instances. Also like to do pvp. Well I don't think I will really be getting into arena, but BG's are like to do, and I also have to be able to defend myself while I am questing. Just seemed like Affliction would be a good all round build for all the above.

If you are leveling, you don't need improved howl of terror if you ask me. I'd put them into Demonic Embrace for some extra stam.
