Re: Soul bags

Enigmas of warlocking that I will never understand:

1) Why didn't the original soul wells have 25 charges in them?

2) Why are there trashless boss fights (Vashj, Archimonde, Illidan)?

3) Why don't soul shards stack (even to two)?

4) Why does hunter ammo stack if Lock Shards don't?

5) Why are we limited to 32 slot bags? Why can't it be 50?

Anybody have any answers to this stuff?

I spent 4 hours last night wiping on Illidan and basically have to throw out my entire 18 slot bag to accomodate the 50 shards I need for killing my succy, making Healthstones, and Soulstoning whoever......

Re: Soul bags

I agree too.

Maybe to follow the lines of the "well designed quiver" <_< we could have something like a Soulbag that has a 50% chance of NOT expending the shard cost for a spell if the shard is in the soulbag. Tha would increase "in theory" our shards from 32 to 48 more or less.

All though i like the idea of a soulbag feeding of shards pressence and getting something like +1 spell damage for each shard in the bag. This would make every single warlock stay on top of the drain soul trash mobs.

Yet again.... this suggestions aren't supposed to be placed some place were actuall blizz team can see it? oO

You can Drain Soul the Parasites from P1 onwards.

It was the greatest discovery EVER.

Re: Soul bags

lol i find that i have shards depending on my spec if I'm a drain tank Idd end up stockpiling them up to 20 ( i know i have a small soul bag :( ) but if i spec anything apart from that my shards slowly drain down to 5-0 which is annoying
i do hope we get 40 slot bags tho they would be good to put in bank and store shards for raids etc. also i find that blizz makes the availability of bags too low i mean these our our lock-quivers we do need them to have big space and affordable we are the only ones that gonna use em
i hate shards so much they always a hassle to farm and it is nearly impossible for any destro lock to farm shards
i suggest that soulburn have no reagent cost then destros will not have such a problem
and destros need to be in a team normally in order to drain coz lets face it we have no BASE dps pet so we all screwed in that respect
i like the shard no. idea but so close to release i don't think we could petition a comment in order to get our 'magic bags' which is a shame

Re: Soul bags

The fundemental difference between hunter ammo and shards is, hunters NEED arrows/bolts/bullets to do damage. warlocks however use them for semi-superfluous spells. I agree that they should stack, preferably in stacks of x5-x10 like most class's buffing reagents. the bag's passive buffs for hunters however has been calculated in As far as I know, to get a buff from the bag they would have to adjust something we have or make it a completely useless buff.

nice thought but im fairly certain it's gonna end up like green fire.

Vashj has lots of trash to get shards from. All the elementals, nagas, striders, everything. Kael on the other hand....

You consider demon summoning semi-superfluous? I don't agree. Even if you don't make Healthstones, or soul stones, or use shadowburn or Soul Fire, or Enslave, or have to summon anyone, a warlock needs a demon that will not always be an imp.

After all, a hunter has a pet and a melee weapon does it not? =P

Re: Soul bags

Yeah it's one of the biggest pains in the but there is for progression bosses. Questing, lvling, 5 mans, Shards are not an issue but if its time to learn "xyz" night then you can easily burn through 40+ shards.

Re: Soul bags

I sure as hell wasn't farming shards trying to learn those fights.

And I used Shadow burn alot when we were learning Vashj, whether it was on the striders, Naga, or a stray, half-health elemental.

Call me stupid, but we got her. And if I went in there again, a quick 2K insta-nuke can be extremely helpful.
