Re: Headless Horseman solo?
Because I'm GM of a small guild composed of about a dozen people who are friends outside the game, and because monday night is our "everyone shows up" outing night. Ordinarily I'd be playing my much lower level shaman on monday night, but since I have the only level 80 character in the guild, and it would be nice to let a few others get the achievement and a shot at the broomstick while hanging out with my friends, that's what I'm doing. If I can. I killed the guy 10 times yesterday, and will kill him dozens more times until I get the broom and the pet and the pumpkin hat. If I miss the broom and the pet and the pumpkin hat because I skipped four opportunities to kill him on monday, or tried to "solo" him with a little help from lower levels, well I've made worse mistakes. |

Re: Headless Horseman solo?
Quote:
I used my PVE demonology spec that I normally use to give demonic pact to the raid, and I use demonic empowerment (Demonic Empowerment - Spell - World of Warcraft) right off the bat which is pretty important to threat generation especially if there are some heavy hitters in your group. But health funnel is fine to heal him. I am not sure Felguard would be as good at tanking the horseman because voidwalker has two threat generating abilities plus demonic empowerment to improve the threat 20% on top of it. As someone else noted though, I wouldn't recommend necessarily SOLOing HH. The fun is being able to have 5 or more tries at the mount drop. Soloing really defeats that purpose. |

Re: Headless Horseman solo?
Don't know why you would want to solo him though, fewer chances at the pet/mount/helm, except for novelty sake to say that you did. |

Re: Headless Horseman solo?
I've always found my pvp affliction build (haunt of soul link) to be great for single target soloing whatever. I haven't tried it on hh, but it's worked on chillmaw, the kill for the daily Threat From Above, and Alumeth the Ascended, the kill for No Rest for the Wicked (I think). |
