Zombie Problem Solved
With the approach of Wrath of the Lich King, the new world event has started up and is working its way to full steam. I'm sure by now you've noticed the number of zombies, green clouds of plague, and infected critters running about is growing rather quickly. Of course the patch isn't without its difficulties, which we've all experienced in one form or another in the past week or so. I just want to throw out a fix for one of them in case anyone gets caught by it. There seems to be a glitch such that players who log out of the world while they are a zombie are effectively locked out. Other toons on the account can be accessed without difficulty, its only the toon logged out while transformed. Fix: Open your WoW folder on your harddrive, should look something like C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft Move the WTF folder to your desktop. Start WoW, allow it to make a new WTF file. Try two or three times to log into the locked toon, you should be able to get in! Take your time and move about for a few minutes, just to free up your coordinates and give the servers something new to record. Odds are you'll have to do this anyway as you'll probably log in dead. After this, exit WoW, delete the WTF file from your WoW directory, and replace the original moved to your desktop. This will restore your settings and you'll be able to get onto the toon as normal.
