Mounts and Fliers in WOTLK?
Can anyone tell me if you can use your flier (either epic or not) in the Northrend zones? I hear mixed yes/no on this and wanted to have a clear understanding. I hear that you can tailer up to 450 to make a new replaced epic flier? Sorry if this is well known or dupilicate. I have tried to look this up in FAQ's. thanks! |

From what I have read you can use flyers after you hit level 77 and you either/or do a quest and have to pay 1k gold to use them. As for ground mounts Im not sure how thats going to work. I know at tailoring level 400 you get to learn how to make a magic carpet. As to whether thats an epic flyer of its based on your flight skill like the magic brooms were, I do not know.

I think it was either wowinsider or curse where I read at level 77 we do a quest "and" pay 1k gold to be able to fly in northrend, they could have misquoted and it could be one or the other, not sure. As for prices, I haven't heard anything of 25k gold, I did see a discussion on one of those sites about 10k and 15k prices, and they had a quote from a bliz blue post they got somewhere, that basically said they arrived at the prices they set because everyone should have that much gold by 80 unless they blow it all on the AH, notice he didn't confirm or deny the prices, just stated we should have enough money for whatever the price is by 80. AtlasLoot shows the flying carpet and some of the other mounts already, and from the tooltip for the flying carpet it is an epic flyer, but again, since it isn't actually something we can see yet, who knows if there is a slower version or if it's speed scales. |

The quest is gone, it's flat 1k for cold weather flying ability obtainable at level 77 from the flightmaster in dalaran. 20k for the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth, has 2 vendors or they can be booted to seat 2 other people to travel with you. |

Level 77 is what I have heard. I kinda figured stuff with be expensive with all the dailies they had going. I will have about 2k after I finish my mage to 70. |
