best spots for ae in wotlk?
Hey guys, Anyone know where I can find an abundance of tightly packed enemies that preferably lack ae damage spells and stuns? ![]()

drakil'jin ruins in grizzly hills is pretty good, but i believe blizz fixed it so the trolls don't give xp any more. the wolvar camp north of moa'ki harbor is not bad too if you're good at microing your pet to gather mobs, plus there's a daily there. my absolute favorite so far (i'm only 77) is definitely sholozar though. the mobs in the areas surrounding river's heart spawn pretty thick, plus the gorillas and other quest creatures around frenzyheart hill respawn quite quickly. |

Going hunting Shoveltusk herds in Fjord is great. You will walk off with a pile of meat and if you skin then a pile of leather. I just run a circle mob after mob and hammer them with seeds of corruption. |

Quote:
Between Vengeance Landing and Utgarde they come in packs. If you are 70-74, send in VW, AoE taunt them, then seed 4-5. They will all fall down. High 70s with a felguard, just let felguard tank'em and seed away. Spent 15 minutes yesterday morning and walked away with a stack of flanks. FYI ... The trolls in Grizzly Hills in the ruins by the coast: the trolls who are yellow give no XP. They respawn almost immediately due to a quest, but don't attack unless you open a quest item. This is the room the lock who hit 80 first used. Since the trolls respawned abnormally fast, he never had to go far to get more mobs. You can pretty much pull the whole room without moving. Zul'Drak ... Altar of Quetz'Lun When you first approach you go whoa ... everything elite. Then you do a few quests for the big cat god and she sends you here. You "leave your body behind" and phase into a ghostly world. They are no longer elite. You are there to do 4-6 quests for another god, and when you complete them, you no longer phase into the world where they are non-elite. So, while you are there, enjoy ... the Worshipers are a SL/Felguards dream. One dot and they charge you .. no stun, no damage, they just instantly zap over to you. Felguard cleve grabs agro, dot the next one. You can get 4-5 standing in the center of one of the squares, then move over to the next square. Pretty fast respawns. Right now, too many people around to really gring stuff good. Too much competition to have the mob density needed to really get down to some serious AoE. |
