Destruction Warlock

I was just wondering what the strengths of a destruction based warlock are. I would think that any destruction warlock would be weaker than a mage, and therefore I don't really see the advantage. I will most likely play in a PvE server, and probably go Affliction/Demonology, unless there is some advantage to destruction I don't know about...

Some of the talents give your destruction spells a chance to daze....and it is also more PvP oriented IMO....

Aahh didnt know that, I heard daze is going to be nerfed soon, so I think I will stay away from destruction for now =D

the added bonuses to crititcal strikes and dazing is quite nice. plus i believe it makes us the best AoE damagers, which is nice in a group.

Destruction is really nice since you have daze, which is really useful, and the massive criticals you can have with searing pain ,combined with its fast casttime, are a real pain for enemies.
But a warlock cannot be fully destruction spec, might as well roll a mage.

Instacast corruption is a must.
some improved life and soul drain, and nightfall would be good.

Gotta dabble in demonology for the Demonic embrace and improved imp.

That is what i plan to do, and its a really good PvP build imo.

what is with people and the false rumours
okay, what, they going to take daze away from Warlocks and do what?
not fix soulshards, not fix the Felhunter, not fix the hostile pet bug, not fix the pet name bug, not fix the 100 other Warlock bugs

ya, they ain't taking daze away, there is no reason to do so

didn't you notice that the pet bug affects ALL pets....hunters and warlocks ARE both afflicted by this bug...

They are fixing daze (some problem with chain dazing mentioned on the official board). I think that this fix applies mainly to daze abilities whose daze effects are going off at a higher than normal chance.

Prolly deals with the Paladin seal that allows chance of daze on every hit.....

ironically pyroclasm is bugged in the ineffective way. so i think the two dazing bugs balance out ;)
