PvP questions and servers...
I am currently playing on Lothar (PvE) and I'm having a blast. However I feel like I'm missing out on a whole other dynamic of the game. I've always been big into multiplayer FPS's for the human element it offered. I think I'm going to create a new Warlock on a PvP server and was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions for me.
1. What are the best PvP servers out there? Does it really matter? Where do most of you play? 2. Could someone explain to me exactly how a PvP server works? Is it just like PvE with the exception that the other faction can attack you? Can members of the same faction attack each other? Is questing and other PvE stuff not as important on a PvP server? Sorry for the noob questions. Like I said I am a FPS fanatic, but I think WoW is slowly converting me. P.S. This site has been extremely helpful. Thanks again. |

PvP questions and servers...
I don't play PvP, at least not yet so I can't give you feel for the differences but I do know the general rules
![]() Contested zones are open PvP, anyone of the opposite faction can attack you. Just about all the zones outside of the newbie areas are considered contested so questing in Hillsbrad Foothills or other similar zones have added danger. Your faction controlled areas are "safe" for you unless you flag yourself for PvP by flagging, attacking or healing someone currently flagged for PvP. You can not attack or PvP members of the same faction. You can duel them though (you can duel in PvE as well). You don't gain Exp from killing PC's so I would imagine that questing is still important for leveling. |
