Compensation for issues of 3.1?
So - I don't know about you guys but, since 3.1 has it, my playtime has been filled nothing but issue after issue. Whether it's bugged quests, bugged mobs, random sever crashes, etc; it's getting a little annoying. Now, I'm not one to complain but, when I pay for 30 days of game time, I expect 30 days - not 29+1 hopelessly fail patch day. That said, is anyone here thinking Blizz maybe owes us some sort of compensation, say a 1 day extension on all our game times? Servers go up 6-7 hours late, and then the 2 hours I get of play time are filled with fail. I know I'm QQ-ing but, again, these issues are getting out of hand.

Good luck with that. When Misha was damn near unplayable due to a server hardware issue, we were told to go play on another server.

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
So you pay $15 a month for wow right. Putting that at 30 days for april. That's $15/30days = 50 cents/day. Of course in a day there's 24 hours. 50cents/24hours = 2.083 cents per hour. Where would you like me to send your $0.0416? Btw, welcome to a big patch day. This is nothing compared to what it used to be. Game could be down for days after a big vanilla patch. |

It's not about money or addiction. It's about common courtesy towards your clients (read=actual employers) that made you (read=Blizzard Entertainment) who you are now. It's not my fault, it's not my problem, why should i "pay" for it? No one said patch days are a walk in the park, but they should take the cost. Why shouldn't they?

I don't think they guarantee 100% uptime anywhere. Most internet service providers don't do it either. so what? Should they not add content at all, but just work on server stability all the time? |

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
i would quite go that far, like SINisterW said - this is nothing compared to the crap we used to go through with vanilla and generally speaking Blizz are really good at giving free days on peoples account post FU- i got 3 free days post my last six month subscription for outages - and i dont even remember them ![]() I know it's frustrating but since wrath hit there's only been maybe 3 or 4 outages compared to the 2 or 3 days worth when Ruins of Dire Maul (1.3 methinks)

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
Hangups, bugs, glitches, crashes....it's all part of the experience. I'd rather get all these things straightened out now, right away, rather then have bizarre issues later when im trying to run ulduar or compete in the argent tournament thing. If the downtime is upsetting you that much, perhaps some self-enforced away time would help? After WoW crashed 3 times last night I closed the laptop and went to bed happier for it. LOL.

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
For all my complaining, which isn't a lot, it's part and parcel of playing an MMO. However, I don't see why they don't take (or make or buy) an unused but fully functioning server and patch that and see where the problems lie before trying to patch the public servers. Could save a lot of time. But, eh, what do I know? |

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
This happens every time there is a patch. You get extended downtime due to unseen issues, and in-game bugs. Quit whinning. Always got to be someone who feels the world owes them something. You don't like it, go get a job at blizzard and show us how its done by implementing a patch without a single issue. |
