Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
The only thing I complain about on patch day is why can't I remember where that setting is in said add on when Im trying to fix them. LOL I guess I can see the issue if you buy a game card and you only have X amount of hours to play a week. I run a sub so it's no big deal to me. I don't even cancel when I take my wow breaks and that can be for weeks. Maybe they will give a free day but all that does is mess up my bank balance by 50 cents. |

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
Blizzard are infact exempt from being obliged to do anything. However just because they don't *have* to do anything it doesn't mean they shouldn't if they want to keep customers. Though what I said doesn't mean they should either. Just more generally. With most products if they're defective on arrival, you take them back or complain, just because IT is more complex, we shouldn't have to suffer lower levels of product quality. Instead, companies like blizzard who enjoy obscene profit margins should be able to make allowances for their worst service issues (and frequently blizzard do). It is worth noting that the instance servers had been regularly unable to provide more instance slots for people night in night out since Wrath of the Lich King on my battlegroup. Blizzard could easily tack more instance servers on and increase customer service levels in a long term way. However, all that said, this was a one off, and something which I don't feel blizz are particularly in the wrong for. Their service has consistantly improved, server performance; consistantly improves over time and so looking at the bigger picture, I find outrage unjustified. Assuming we've seen the end of it. |

Re: Compensation for issues of 3.1?
Didn't Blizzard just confirm on official forums that all players will indeed get a free day? First day after patch was a disaster, though we managed to take down one boss before servers blew up. Day after that was really smooth and only problems we had during our 4h raid was when WG was up and we had the regular lagspikes. |

*cough* Seems Blizzard agrees with my QQ-ing; so all those fanboys can go shove it. ![]() Free play-time given for server trouble Given, this isn't the official post but, I would imagine WI isn't going to lie.
