I found this while googling randomly, I only started playing in November so it was quite a revelation..... Thread ...why did i miss those times??? /gutted

Posted on official forum in a lock bashing thread: A lock WILL kill you if it see's you first, like most classes WILL kill us if they see us first. Burst is OP, damn, SIGHT IS OP. NERF EYES !!! |

Heh - that made me laugh. Best reply: "during the time you try to kill the felguard .... the warlock kills you, your freinds, your guild and your server" /sigh...how times have changed.  On a side note/FYI, that was posted between 2.2 and 2.3, specifically during 2.2.2 back during The Burning Crusade.

My guild used to refer to my warlock as the end game boss. Another guildy said he used to have fun watching me go to horde cities and "melt faces" of hordies. |

My signature is the punchline for a joke based on those days: There's a seige going on, and a hundred warriors and pallys are gathered around the keep. Suddenly, the door opens, and warlock peeks his head out and yells out some choice phrases. The commander sends in two of his best soldiers after the warlock. After a couple of minutes, the door opens again, and warlock steps out and taunts them a second time. The commander sends in 10 soldiers this time, sure they will be able to take the warlock down! After another few minutes, the door opens and the warlock taunts them a final time. The commander, incensed, sends the rest of his army into the keep! There are sounds of battle, and finally, a lone soldier runs out of the keep, nearly dead. The commander demands the soldier tell him what happened. The soldier looks at the commander gravely and replies....(see my signature below)

Actually, I liked this reply the most: "Just blow all your cooldowns and burst the lock down! Wait what... the lock still has over 50% hp left and you have 0 mana. Better get some friends to help you next time. Killing a warlock requires a highly skilled and coordinated raid to take down. :D" Heh.. good stuff.

This was with 50% soul link and fear staying on no matter the damage right? We could outlast almost anything and dots ate the opponent. Looking back that build specifically has had more nerfs then some classes have had in total.
