Re: Mage QA touches upon Warlocks

Multiple pets at once please

Or just a pet that is exceptional or provides a unique raid buff. Personally I don't feel very "mage-y", we have different mechanics and the uniqueness of life tap (killing ourselves to DPS) is enough for now. The change to empowered imp and F&B makes the pet more closely linked to our overall DPS than previous so that's a good thing to make us stand apart from self-reliant mages.

Mages and warlocks are certainly a lot more different than they were in BT/MH (that's if you saw any mages in there).

Re: Mage QA touches upon Warlocks

I have an idea for soulshards, make them into something where you can infuse a soulshard with a spell, and then use it like a bomb sort of, not the kind where you have to aim but more like you are targeting the person and you just click the button and it is thrown. And seeing how it is a bomb it will hit multiple players with that dot or whatever is infused with that soulshard. Now granted this would need some restrictions, such as how many you can have at a time, and need alot of thought but imagine being able to get 5 corruptions, immolates or whatever on 5 different targets at once.

Yeah TBO that's what worries me too. I've seen many, many changes over the last few patches and I'm not exactly high-fiving over here!

Personally, I play Affliction and have never felt in the least bit like a mage. I really see the magy-ey-ness problem (if it really is a problem) as only being with destro.

What bothers me is that improving Warlocks is already a big enough task, without the further complication of say "oh doing 'x' would be good for Locks - Oh, actually, no, scrub that it might be kinda Mage-like"

Warlocks and Mages are both caster classes and so are bound to have parallels. Destro seems to be that parallel - but imo Destro is still darker and Lock-esque.

Basically, I'd like to see changes made to Locks that are solely motivated to improve Warlock functionality and Playability, as opposed to changes made for 'Flavour' reasons.

As an example: How about NOT losing our pets buffs when we mount up. With the Fel Puppy out, it's so annoying that we lose the benefit of the added intellect, so that when we dismount our Intellect bar is no-longer full. (that's just a bug-bear of mine) - if you could have that fixed by the time I get home tonight please Blizz, that'd be grand - ta
