Game Masters

Game Masters
Game Masters (GMs) are the Blizzard Entertainment personal that are available in-game to assist you with your questions, problems, etc., initial plans do not call for scheduled GM service. When the Beta test begins, you may see GMs available on an unscheduled basis, and with increasing prevalence as the Beta progresses. Game Masters are not available to settle player disputes.

How can I contact a Game Master?
The 'Page a GM' function under the Help Request icon in the game will be disabled at the start of Beta. If you need to contact a GM, please type "/who GM" into the chat window. You will then be presented with a list of all characters with 'GM' in their character name or guild name. All members of the guild <GM Staff> are official World of Warcraft Game Masters, and employees of Blizzard Entertainment. You can send a message to these people with your issues and questions. The response time can vary depending on how many issues they are dealing with, but you will receive a response as soon as possible.

Please understand that this communication scheme is only a temporary measure. As we move further into the Beta, we will be enabling the 'Page a GM' function and increasing the number of GM staff members . Please bear with us during this early portion of the Beta, as we are dedicated to providing a fully implemented Game Master system to the game before release.

To send a message to a GM type /w <GM name> <Question/concern> Example: /w Kopoba Hello Kopoba, I’m stuck and need help.

How do I know someone is a Game Master?
The "/who gm" command displays everyone who is currently online with "gm" in their character or guild name, so you need to look for the Guild <GM Staff>. Example: Junco: Level 30 Night Elf Rogue <GM Staff> - Dun Morogh When a GM talks you will see the <GM> tag before their name. Example: <GM>Junco whispers: Hello When looking at a GM character you will see the <GM> tag before their name and the <GM Staff> guild tag below their name.

Example:
<GM>Junco
<GM Staff>
