Blizzard hints at Warlock changes.
Quote:
As a human warlock, we get a s***ty epic mount. As far as I am concerned, it is a paladin mount. So, for no mana, I get to be a warlock on somebody else's mount. Actually, now that I think about it, the ridiculous sight of a warlock on a paladin's horse might cause some of the horde to laugh themselves to death. In any case, I will gladly deal with the 617 mana to not look stupid. Before this patch came out, I was seriously trying to figure out how to raise my Ironforge faction so I could get an iron chicken for a mount. At least it is not a paladin's warhorse. On the other hand, Undead already have a cool looking epic mount. So your opinion, although bias to the undead only, now makes perfect sence for you. |

The Undead and Warlock epic are the 2 best looking in the game IMO.

Mount looks are a matter of opinion. I personally prefer the way the Undead epic mount looks to the Warlock epic mount. My favorite epic mounts, in no specific order, are Troll raptor, Undead skelehorse, Gnome war-ostrich and Nelf battlecat. The biggest pull for the Nelf one to me being that I was a huge He-Man fan as a child and apparently so was whomever made their armour. Right now what people have to weigh though is if a manaless summon is worth 500ish gold to them and whether or not they like the looks of the epic. Right now I don't have to weigh either really :p

Some human should get their faction reputation up high enough so they can get the battlecat. Then they should run around on it naked yelling after Orko. One mount that I really like now, but didn't before is the Tauren mount. The normal kodos look terrible, but the epic ones look awesome. I can just picture an orc riding it into battle and hitting the drums on the side. I'm not exactly sure if orcs can get kodos, but it would still be cool. |

I have faith in Blizzard though. There have been balancing issues with their games before and they've fixed them, so I'm sure that if we just keep waiting (and make a few alts in the meantime), it'll be fixed. |

missing the point
I am sorry but you are all missing the biggest point. It is good the Curse of shadow and Curse of elementals has been extended, it is good that other curses have been made better, Curse of Doom would be great. but it is all pointless because the underlying problems have not been addressed. Curse of shoadow 2 minutes, Curse of elements 5 minutes, curse of doom 1 minute. The warlocks spells contain aropund 80% DoT's yet they rarely last 10 seconds let alone the 30 second run time for our damage, and as for the the 3 named curses 1 mi, 2 min and 5 min, what for they never last they get rolled off to quickly by other classes DoT's, and if they are not rolled off they get dispelled by the exact mob,s on which they are intended to be effective. PvP may have a use, but Doom does not work on Player characters so thats the end of that one. Blizzard have said they are putting 8 slots for DoT's on now, but that will not change a single thing for warlocks the DoT's will still be rolled off just as fast especially in raid group. The other spell that has to be sorted out is Hell fire, a very nice spell except it does as much damage to a warlock as the mobs it is used against, whilst getting interupted constantly because the warlocks instantly becomes the main target. so the warlock is taking a lot of damage from the mobs as well as from the spell. Mages have a similar spell they dont take damage, it does more damage than hell fire and they can jump about all over the place while casting it. warlocks have no defensive spells at all, and warlocks as a class dont even have the ability to remove the 1 magic they are meant to be the masters of "curses". the upgrades to fire tone and spell stone are good, but are both melee stones and yet we have a rubbish demon armour bonus and use cloth armour, I would not be so bothered about cloth armour if the spell provided the bonus but it dont. Shadow bolt iis our big gun, yet it is very very poor compared to the mages spells, it's cast time need reduceing a bit and it's damage needs upiing a bit. As for talents, I happy all afflication and demonology players have got their bonuses and upgrades about time to. What about those player who want to use destruction talents, I have 30 plus points in destruction and just dont see the benefits from it. Please tell me destruction will finally be sorted out out and give us some real power, I dont care about infernals and doomguards they are demonology spec anyway but would like at least as much power from destruction tree. regards Beholder |
