Warlock 1.9 Test Realm Patch Notes (Soul Shard Bag)

Warlocks

Searing Pain - Increased damage on all ranks of Searing Pain.
Infernal and Doomguard - Increased armor 10% and damage 30% on both pets.
Soul Link - This spell can no longer be partially dispelled off the warlock. In addition, Soul Link can no longer be used on non-demon pets.
Hellfire - Victims of Hellfire are now able to resist properly. Warlocks continue (as designed) to be unable to resist their own damage.
Curse of Shadow and Curse of the Elements - These curses can no longer cause resistance to become negative. To compensate, both curses now increases the damage taken from the appropriate schools by a percentage.
Summon Felsteed - Mana cost reduced.
Summon Dreadsteed - Mana cost reduced.
Pyroclasm - The stun effect's duration no longer diminishes or is diminished by controlled stun abilities and spells (e.g. Cheap Shot, Hammer of Justice, Charge etc...).

Oppps, forgot this important part:

Soul Shard Bags

Tailors now can make soul bags to hold soul shards. The smallest is a 20-slot bag, the recipe for which can be purchased in Gadgetzan. The recipe for a larger bag can be found in Scholomance, and one for an even larger bag can be found in Molten Core. In the main UI, these soul bags will display how many shards they contain. So long as the soul bags have room, any soul shards a warlock creates will automatically go into the bag.

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

They arn't exactly "Leaked" or "Official" you can download the patch right now if you know the proper format for the downloader name.

I downloaded the patch myself, which is where I got this from, however Cay confirmed on General that these were real if you don't beleive me:

Note: The Test server isn't up, it is just they are putting it up, and thus the files are in place for download.

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

Well then I hope they change the soul shard bag... I don't see why we should be forced to take tailoring as a profession choice, or pay for a tailor to make them (of which I'm sure many will try to make a nice profit off of) just to get a bag that is meant for us, can only be used by us and is the so called 'solution' to our soul shard problem.

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

No joke after 9 months the best they can do is a 20 slot bag for the average player. Let me get more than one shard at a time or something or make the bag make one how hard can that be?

Let me add a few more comments here. I'll gladly take the bag, turning down more shards would be silly. But they said it was gonna have a nice feature. Question is was that smoke and mirrors or is there some poor smuck at Blizzard staring at code till his eyes bleed trying to figure out why it won't work?

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

Well, I dont think 20 is bad for toons under 58ish, after that - Scholomance is readily dobale with a PUG.
The MC bag requires a nice guild thou.

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

I'm happy for the bag to come in stages, but I'm with Angelina on the fact I don't appreciate the fact they are forcing us to take Tailoring or buy it from the AH, especially as the "solution" to all our shard complains. I personally won't drop my chose professions to raise Tailoring.

If they made it quest stages, say you do a quest for the 20 slot one, then a quest in strat or scholo for the next one, another quest some place harder etc. That way it would really only rely on the Warlock to complete the quests, not having a priest have the recipe, make it and not charge and arm and a leg. Not everyone's in a guild they can just rely on.

Even if they had it so you still had to go to Gadg, Scholo etc, but have an NPC at each who requests the components the recipe would normally take, but when you hand in you get the bag back in return. That way us Warlocks could go to these places WITH the mats it takes to make it, hand in and voila we get the bag.

I really feel for those Warlocks on servers with horrible economies...

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

It certainly calls for some clarification ("how many slots will the MC bags have?" comes to mind). For the time being, I assume that we'll have to replace a 14/16 or even 18 slot all purpose bag for a 20 soul shard only bag which is not my idea of an improvment for SS management.

On top of that, I have not read anything about Blizzard's take on enabling us to collect SS from grey mobs. When you ding 60 it's a chore to have to travel to places where you'll find green mobs for the sake of resplenishing your SS inventory.

Re: Warlock 1.9 Patch Notes

I personally cannot see giving up one of my current 16 slot bags for basically a shard quiver with 4 more slots. As it sits now, as I use up shards I free up inv space for loot. Witht the above change, I just lost 16 inv slots. No Thanks.
