Re: Is UA worth getting ?
Since 2.0, affliction warlocks do more than just 'good enough'. We're the best class for killing trash (dot everything that's off-tanked). And our single target dps is equal to, if not better than that of mages and rogues. And aggro really isn't an issue for me. And this isn't just high end warlocks with 700 spell damage like me, i persuaded a friend to go affliction who's doing molten core/bwl, has around 400 shadow damage in blues and 1 or 2 epics, and he was telling me last night how he's regularly number 1 on dps and high on healing done too. Affliction is THE pve build as far as i'm concerned. You can lifetap and drain yourself back to full health without relying on people to heal you. It's godly. |

Re: Is UA worth getting ?
I don't see the funny part in this?? It's true. In my guild you have only 3 warlocks in total and mostly only 2 raiding.... |

Or course any raiding guild with half a brain doesn't want a high threat Lock; that feels like more work to a priest. That being said, however, a good raiding guild knows how to utilize Locks to their maximum potential without sacrificing excellent dps, and most priests can just throw a HoT on us so we can LifeTap to our little heart's content. Bottom line is this: guilds that raid and don't want Locks have a weak link somewhere.

The weak link is normally poor tanks in my experience :P |

Re: Is UA worth getting ?
Ehm if you have UA, I assume you also took Dark Pact. It owns lifetap. It gives more mana and doesn't cost health. And if you let your imp be buffed (just un-phase-shift it before they buff your party), it has enough mana regen to give you enough mana 95% of the time. Last raid I hit lifetap around 4 times, in 5 C'Thun attempts. Also, I got aggro on princess Yauj, I didn't have a damage or threat meter yet after the patch, but it seems that I did that much damage just with dots. |

Re: Is UA worth getting ?
I'm destruction specd right now and have usually stayed away from affliction because I like burst damage and it is good for pvp.Do yall think affliction is any good in pvp considering most classes try to kill something as fast as possible. |

Re: Is UA worth getting ?
Well Blizzard has said that they are buffing health across the board in order to do away with battles that last just a few seconds (you can see my post on this in the BC section of the forum). So in about 3 weeks, PVP is going to be an affliction lock's dream come true. |

Re: Is UA worth getting ?
If you use unstable affliction you want it to be dispelled. That means you can get more burst damage.Anyone notice that contagion also reduces chance for a dispell by 30%. This seems counter productive to going all the way for UA. |
