With BoW + imp. soul leech + random mana regen the im can go on for ever, with faster cast on firebolt.

Actually, my imp doesn't really run out of mana. He gets pretty close, but he can usually last a good while before running out. If he does, which rarely happens, it's usually right at the end of a 5 minute run w/o breaks.
