I spoke with the Author of the post Dots and you: The Affliction Warlock Thread - Elitist Jerks His response was Hi there, I'm not interested in posting the thread into warlock's den on my own, I'm quite busy with one version atm :-) As the whole idea of writing something like this guide started when I read Canadiangimp's "Gearing your warlock" on your website, you can, of course, copy and paste it on your site as long as... I) it is clear that it is a copy and where to find the original II) it is updated frequently. Currently, I'm updating the post almost daily as it still contains many errors - I wouldn't like some unfinished old version flying around on a site as frequently visited as yours. Maybe you should update it at least once a month or something (or give me some more time for the original post^^). ONce I hit 80, I tried aflliction (mainly still top gear from BT/MH) and it was abysmal.. Awful.. I could barely out DPS the tanks, and that was using: haunt, UA, immo, Curse of Agony, cor, siphon life, with 1 or 2 SB's as filler.. (DL at 25%..)

I am guessing my lack of spirit really hurt me with this build, but I was just plain awful at it. I consider myself a decent player, and I wasnt simpy mashing keys unaware of my timers or rotation, I just dont see how people are cranking out some of 4500+ DPS readings on wowwebstats. Its mind boggling.
Something wasnt right.

I love the 31/40.
