-------------------------------------------------- The best Glyphs for maximizing Affliction DPS are Corruption (for the Nightfall procs), Siphon Life (20% is huge), and Immolate (since the glyph stacks with Haunt, Shadow Embrace, and Molten Core). Why not Glyph of Curse of Agony? Check out this great information from the Elitist Jerks forums, thanks for Blacksen who did the math on it: Quote: |

I've always sucked at math. I'll always suck at math. But now at least math is fun. ![]() Thanks Vux! |

Re: Vux's Guide to Affliction
One question about the rotation. I understand the SB, Haunt first and the UA, Immolate together aspects, but why UA/Immo before the instants? The reason that I ask is that my current rotation is SB > Haunt > Curse of Agony > Corr > Sipon Life > UA > Immolate. Am I really hurting my damage? |

Have used a rotation like yours extensively and the most important point is more to cast UA and IMM as a set as they are easier to recast when they both come down at around the same time. My question though would be to Vux is that you seem to be contradicting your findings though. You say in your conclusions that " Haunt and Shadow Embrace DO increase dot damage if dot is casted first, and then Haunt/SE after" In that case the rotation should be changed to Curse of Agony>Corr>SL>Haunt>SB>UA>IMM Please explain. |

Re: Vux's Guide to Affliction
I would like to add that it seems like most people are not taking dark pact these days. I understand that life tap is superior in every way except that it deals damage to yourself. Four examples stick out in my mind where DP is a godsend. Loatheb, Gluth, Sapphiron and low health. Loatheb - You only have a 3 second window to be healed and are taking a constant damage that hits harder as the fight goes on. Gluth - I don't know if this is intended, but if you LT before decimate, you will die, and it helps to have all your mana to SOC all those adds. Sapphiron - Constant frost damage aura, slow decurse, and the aoe from the person(s) tageted by the frost bolt. Any low health situation - why do the boss' job for it and take a risk of dying? I'm sure that the min/maxers will disagree, and most of the things I mentioned are easily avoided, but how often do things go perfectly? Sure it less mana, but it's also risk free and keeps you going when the going gets tough. |

Have you looked at Curse of Agony glyph since they altered it in 3.0.8? |
