finishing moves 0/41/30 build
Background: Tested the 0/41/30 build which significantly boosted my dps when doing 5-man heroics - and passed 2k dps for the first time (VH hc) with it (so far only a few epics). So very happy with it so far  Note however that when testing on the ?? dummy in IF my 53/1/17 build was significantly superior - so I guess that this might be better when I now start stepping into Naxx since this build is better on longer boss fights?I'm currently doing Curse of Agony,Corr,Immolate and spamming Incinerate. On trash pulls I might through out some dots and then rain some fire - depending on no. of mobs and the tank's aoe/aggro-holding ability!  Question: When a boss is low I am trying to weave in soulfires by doing two incinerates at a distance followed by SF from the decimation proc. But, is this guaranteed the best DPS, or would simply using drain soul result in better dps? And what about shadowburn (got a point there..) - is it recommended to fire it off towards the end just to get some additional fast dps? thanks |

I'd say that with the 0/41/30 build Soul Fire under Decimation beats Drain Soul hands down as you are not getting the extras to the drain soul damage under 20% as you would get with an affliction build namely Soul Siphon and Death's Embrace amd the 1.5 sec cast rocks! As for Shadowburn, some may disagree but I like it I think it's a nice little boost and with shards not being an issue why not use it? |

If you spec Decimation, like you do in 0/41/30, then it's better than Soul Siphon execute. The trick to doing Decimation correctly is to use it in a 1:1 weave. To make this work you need a healthy amount of haste and you need to stand at max range. If you are too close or your haste is too low, this won't work. You do Incin, Incin, SF, Incin, SF, Incin... etc. You need enough haste to get "ahead" of the travel time of the nukes so you can get the SF cast off with the buff. I'm thinking you need 500 or 600 haste + to make this work right. Master Conjurer Spellstone for the win. Now, if you are in a situation where you cannot stand at max range, or you do not have enough haste, you need to do an Incin > filler > SF weave instead. For the filler, you can do another Incin, or you can use that time to re-up a curse or corrption if there is time. It's not as good for DPS, but if you fill in with good damage it will still be decent. phetus, I'm with you on Shadowburn. I only use it on trash pretty much, when shadow bolt won't land in time.

Ok... Can someone please tell me why all the 0/41/30 builds have NO point in Demonic Empowerment? Given this has now been taken off the GCD wouldnt it be a DPS increase to spec into it and loose 1 point of crit from Demonic Tactic? Thoughts? S_W |

Regarding the 0/41/30 I've been thinking about what to use. I'm raiding with 2xPaladin(Ret), 1xPriest(Holy), 2xShaman(Elem+Resto), 1xRogue, 1xHunter, 1xWarrior, 1xDruid(Resto) and me. Curse of Agony vs. CoE: Curse of Agony gives higher proc rate for molten core and does damage. CoE gives a constant boost that's higher than molten core and boosts raid member damage as well. Am I assuming right that CoE is the right curse to use? Both for increasing my and raid dps? Imp vs. Felguard: Generally I noticed this on Thaddius, my felguard did very little damage so I switched to Imp and my overall dps went up. This was during a nax25 so I used Curse of Agony, Corr and Immo. Concidering you deal mostly fire damage the imp should be more useful due to the crit. Is there any nice addon for getting in positioning for the 1x1 SF/Inc rotation depending on haste? sometimes I find myself having to locate it by trial and error which isn't really that effective. I dislike being at max distance, I want to find the green zone ^^ |

Ive been runnen this build. Kinda hard to get good gear. got titan steel pieces HR is 424 SP 1975 DPS blows 1300 and below. just dual specd and want destro was told thats the bomb but now i dont know. Ive ran deep demon and afflic but didnt notice much about casting tymes or movements but i was a quester and my roome and I would 2 man alot of lower stuff. IDK apparently i need uldar gear? Is deep destro only way to break pally bubble. I Fen hate them unless on my side For The Horde!!!! thanx, got more reading to do appreciate you all and thanx |
