@affruin & Nostra, You've both made your arguments/counter arguments just fine without having to resort to name calling. We typically have a special place for comments like that, the Official Forums. We only ask that you leave that type of talk behind when you visit the Den. I do not want to see a perfectly good thread derailed, so lets move on.

7/13/51 i'm just about to hit 80, and have beed Destro for a long time and enjoy it. So i am hoping to stick w/ it @ 80, i havent noticed any comments on this desto heavy build / CB and w/ the 2/2 to Curse of Agony and 5/5 Corr, plus the bonus of 3/3 demonic aegis was hoping for definitive comments on how this would stack up againts some of the other more popular builds. If there isnt enough specific's then say so, and i will tryand add on later. Thx in advance, Pan |

Thank you very much for this summary about raid build. I have tried 0/41/30 with Imp and FG and I must say I didn't succeed to reach high numbers with imp. Maybe it's juste a gear matter but that's not the right place to talk about it. I would like to propose a mixed version that would allowed to either take the FG(very convenient for trash,hero,farm) and imp(for boss). Here is the build: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft I have removed 2 points from demonic embrace and 1 point of master summoner and put them into brutality. You only lost 2 sec if your pet die but honnestly if he die then your dps too ^^. So having 2 sec is not a big lost compare to a pet without buff... I didn't put 2 points in destruction reach cause I really don't have any thread problem for the moment while reaching 3-3.5k dps with FG. What do you think about this build ? This post is in reply to thetrueavatar. I'm just wondering if you could give more specifics about how you're reaching 3k - 3.5k dps with your build. I have a similar build and similar gear but in Naxx, I'm lucky to reach 1.8k - 2k dps on bosses and trash. I'd be curious about what buffs you have on, any flasks/consumables you use and your rotation and your glyphs. Currently my rotation is: Curse of Agony, Immolate, Incinerate (spam) on trash and Curse of Agony, Corruption (to proc shadowtrance w/glyph) and Incinerate spam. I have always been good about having near 100% uptime on my DoTs without intterupting their final tick. My glyphs are Immolate, Corruption and Felguard. I'm getting a bit of an inferiority complex on my Lock as there is a DK that does 3k dps and a Hunter that pushes 2.2k which depending on group composition I'm either 2nd or 3rd on recount. Not that I necessarily think that I should be top, but I'd like to close the gap a bit. Thanks! |

I have taken it upon myself to work out a specc that is both raid viable, dps worthy, and anti-mana-burn. It may not be the best, but do reconsider looking at for upcoming raids. Blizzard has hinted that future raids will require enslaving and sprites will be a MUST. However, since most priests desire to be holy, they're giving big dps classes a replenishment buff. So, just have a look at it, gimme your thoughts, and give credit where credit is due. Blizzard said that these raids were "just an easy step into the new raids" and from 3.1 on, it's gonna get MUCH harder. This is a fire-destro lock, heavy on the imp (who doesn't want an imp that deals out 65% more damage?  and was created with mana-regen in mind. Future raids will not be an easy-peasy walk-through like Naxx guys. Mana-regen and CC are going big again. This specc (sadly) was created with the Firestones in mind. They direct damage buff and crit buffs will benefit more than Wizard Oil in this case.
