i just wanna know...do all you kara people who use this build ( and ssc /tk people ) do you have 202 spell hit? this build seems kinda useless when you r not hit capped. also dont use damage meters as a source for how good a spec is, they r not reliable, often misquoted, can be very skewed and dead dps is no dps. i see the benefit of the extra spell damage from the destro tree... but i just dont see how it maximizes your dps... |

Honestly with this spec you dont need to be hit capped you can do a ton of dps at like 130 even. The reasoning behind that is with imp out as MD, salv, destructive reach, and subtlety to cloak you end up doing about 49.9% of the threat that you should be so you will NEVER have to worry about threat so those times other specs have to slow dps would actually more than cover for the 6 or so resists you'll get per fight. I actually was top of damage done on 90% of the bosses with this spec up til I respec'd in MH running with 92 hit. |

Oh aye, performs perfectly well if you can't get hitcapped, its just preferable to have it

this is my favorite spec honestly. the -threat gen is amazing, especially with a pally for salv. I have found a few fights its hard to keep the imp soul linked and i lose the 5% but its still nice even without it. sometimes i switch to a soul link succy for the 15% (salv is kinda a req tho) for certain fights and i do about the same as i would 21/40. so i guess it comes down to if you like your pets and play style. |

This build sounds very interesting after last 3.0.2, patch thinking about the huge crit rating you get from shadow school and friendly spell rotation. Anyone playing something like Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft I guess a Felguard&Ruin still would be more suitable in the most situations?

as a T6 raiding lock, I have settled I think for now with Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft 0/46/15 its pretty boring as a SB spam build with FG or succy out, but in SWP and MtHyjal raids last week it certainly put me ahead of the affliction locks and destro fire locks. I use a curse, corruption, trinket and SB away. Recount had my DPS being 70%-80% SB spam, with a crit rate around 45-55%. (my character screen shows my crit rate when raid buffed at around 34-36%) more interestingly, on all the MtH boss fights last night the two locks with this build were generally in the top 4 DPS, which was a nice surprise. The other locks, were way back below 10. On the SWP bosses we slip back afair bit in DPS ranking though.... pfft Last edited by Cyphyllis; October 26, 2008 at 05:46 PM.. |
