Sibre 70 Orc Warlock Bael'gun US PvE Guild: Random Beating Service Profile: Blizzard Armory Talent Spec: 7/44/10 |
7/43/11 vs 7/44/10
I've been Demonology my entire "career" and loved it even before Felguards were introduced. But now that I'm raiding regularly (my guild is just beginning T5 content, by the way), I'm interested in maximizing my damage. I tried going affliction, but noticed little to no benefit, except that I didn't have to worry about keeping my pet alive. Then I found some post here (can't find it anymore - basically it was a guide for each spec and what tier is best suited for it. It also had some spell casting rotations, if anyone can find it and link it for me, I'd be grateful) that inspired me to go back to Demonology, this time going for ISB and Bane instead of Nightfall (which was more annoying than useful to start with).
Okay, that's the background, my question now is simple. I've been considering (check my build here: The World of Warcraft Armory) removing my talent point from Shadowburn and finishing Demonic Resilience. My reasoning is that anything to keep my pet alive will cause less grief, and while Shadowburn is nice for making my dps meter look good on trash, it does me little to no good on the bosses themselves. As for soloing, I wouldn't miss it, as I have to force myself to use it as it is. The only other use I can think of is pvp, which I don't do on a regular basis (hardly ever, in fact). Anyway, I'm going to try this on our Gruul/Mag run tonight, but any thoughts about it would be appreciated. |
