30/21/10 Having trouble with threat....

Ok I just started using this build a few days ago and love it, my dps has gone through the roof from where I was before which was 41/0/20. I read the forums and the advice for spell rotation and I follow them but I am reaching the threat cap way to quick IMO. I find myself backing off during boss fights so that I dont cause a wipe.My questions are:Has anyone else using this build experienced this problem?If so is there a different spell rotation that will keep my dps up but keep me from pulling aggro?Should I be using Immolate? I havent been thus far.My current rotation for boss fights is CoS, Corr, SL, SB spam. Sometimes I will use Amp Curse, CoD (Curator). Its not the tank because he is one of the best in the business. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Use on of your soul siphon points to max out imp drain soul for less aff threat. You destro spells should be fine at your gear level. If you are on CoS duty feel free to take your point for imp drain soul out of imp Curse of Agony. Rotation you should for sure be using immolate there is a gear threshold when it becomes less effective then shadow damage but I am pretty sure it is currently impossible to hit. Just throw it in before your sbolt spam. Threat advise is thus, you are a warlock, you will always be threat capped :P just remember for ranged dps 'most' fights the threshold for threat will be 130%. Work on you soul shatter timing and learn what works best on which fights probably on early raiding 10 mans ~60-70% of boss health depending on how long you have been riding the tank. If you are having serious and unresolvable threat problems you can consider dropping SL in your rotation but I would not advise it.

Definitely use immolate in your rotation. Make sure you have your curse + 3 DoTs up before using Sbolt or Life Tap. You shouldn't have any problems with threat if your tank is decent. Take Malevevely's advice about the 130% threat threshold. Don't Soulshatter prematurely (lawl).

If you're having threat issues, max imp. drain soul is a must, as is subtlety to cloak.

On bosses: Start easy. CoS, Siphon, Corruption, Immolate, Tap, chuck a shadow bolt, /dance for a few seconds, refresh immolate then corruption and open it up wide. This gives your tank time to lay down 5 sunders/devastates and start his higher threat rotation.

If you have a bear or pally MT then just rip it open from the start, both of them frontload threat much better. Beg for Tranquil air for the first minute of the fight.

Thanks for the pointers guys, now that I have been playing the build a little I am realizing I dont use Curse of Agony very much at all for raiding so I will take all points out of imp Curse of Agony and use them for imp Drain Soul and probably Shadow Embrace to help reduce damage taken by the tank. I need to take the time and farm the mats for subtlety for my cloak (when I got the cloak it had armor enchant already on it so that wasnt my doing). Ok so I will get immolate back into my rotation and get better at timing my soulshatter.I apologize for not following the format completely but I do this at work alot where this page is blocked so I have to use a proxy and that restricts what I can and cannot do so I though my info on the side would be adequate I will follow the format as best I can.

ive been using the same build a few days now and like it ,threat manag,ent is no more difficult than pure destro ,as stated have a cup of coffee while the tank builds aggro ,my rotation is amp curse>Curse of Agony>corr sb spam rinse and repeat ,i only use sl on boss fights to help life tap ,should get better as your tanks get better gear.
