[General & PvP]Help with Farming & PVP build.
Character Name: Mepher
Armory Profile: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...Llane&n=Mepher Wowhead link of current build in use: This is the build that I switched to last night. I have played primarily an Affliction build from day 1 so this is quite a change for me. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IV0bZotczIizzestxx Wowhead link of previous build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IqMrVRfdqtbobxZxx0z This is the build I have used since BC was released. I primarily ran with my IMP out as a mana battery, dotted multiple mobs at a time and then drain tanked until they were dead. Rinse & repeat with little to no downtime. PvE Play style and Requirements of build: All of my PvE time is spent questing and doing Dailys. I primarily played as a duo with my Wife's Mage so we haven't done any BC Instances. We have a small group of friends from my old EQ guild now playing together and we will start doing instances. PvP Play style and Requirements of build: My Wife and I used to run BGs a little bit but neither of us were too happy with our performance and never got to serious about it. With my current gear I just don't think I could even be close to effective as an Affliction lock. Additional Comments: So basically im looking for some help. We are going to start running instances, dailys for cash, and BGs/Arena for fun. My Affliction spec was fine for my PvE needs but I need to try and balance a spec that will allow me to PvP also. Im not expecting much from Arenas yet with my current gear but I need a build that will atleast allow me to move forward and upgrade my PvP gear. Any suggestions are welcomed. I have read a LOT of Talent Spec threads here but the problem I have found is that most threads are geared to one or two specific types of play. Im not interested in Raiding right now so I need a spec more geared to faster damage rather than sustained over time. I loved the "no downtime" aspect of affliction but with only +791 shadow damage atm I fear it just will be too slow to be effective in PvP. So any suggestions, im open to try anything. |

Re: [General & PvP]Help with Farming & PVP build.
The 7/44/10 build you linked is pretty good. It will be very effective in 5 mans and even into Kara and beyond. It also does decent in PvP.
Running the Felguard will be a little bit of a learning curve, but is a lot of fun. You will need to learn when to turn your cleave and taunt on and off (I use macros for that). Personally, I love going into a battlegrounds with felguard. Its fun playing defense in AB ... you station your Felguard in a bush, leave him on stay, but on defensive mode. You stay visible, and when a warrior or rogue opens with their stun, your Felguard springs into action and returns the favor and allows you to escape. Kinda fun doing that to rogues ![]() |
