Re: Multi Boxing 5x Warlocks - Spec choice.
I'd either go 0/41/30 for Fg/emberstorm for a nice simple rotation, or deep destro. For those suggesting other specs... he's 5 boxing, he needs to spec them all the same. 5x Demonology locks could do some awesome stuff, but Meta can be pretty complicated, especially if you are trying to time Decimate procs. If you skip that and just use it to to massive AoE with Meta/Immo Aura/Hellfire - well you might be able to do some crazy stuff! I think you'd have to ignore Decimation as too complex, but the rest of it might work. The real problem is you'll pull aggro and die too much I'd think. So for raiding, deep destruction would probably work best. You'll need to build some slack into your rotation to ensure you can pull it off with all five, but it has good potential.

Re: Multi Boxing 5x Warlocks - Spec choice.
Felguard/Emberstorm without Decimation petattack and spam incinerate, refresh dots from time to time if you want to use them, i.e. Curse of Agony, Immolate and Corruption. There are no cooldown abilities, no attacks that depend on a dot being up (like conflagrate), and not a huge dps loss if you can't properly time the dots, since they don't make such an important contribution to your dps. Finally the Felguard is great fire-and-forget dps, at least on the easier encounters. A few off topic Comments: I like this, must be fun, but I'm not into multiboxing. I see some problems with raiding however, that will eventually limit how far you can get, but maybe you're good enough to circumvent these. I'm talking about encounters where you need to spread out in order not to be one-shotted by some stacking AoE, encounters where you need to move a single character away from the group because it has an AoE debuff, and other stuff I can't think of currently. Moreover, since you can't run heroics and most likely no 10 mans, you have quite a gear step to overcome from level 80 to Naxx 25. Then gearing up in raids is again problematic, since you need everything x5. You will want to keep your haste rating equal among your locks, or you get gaps in spellcasting. At least the emblems are handed out evenly. |

Well.. I'll be using my demo spec for soloing and PVP, as 5 felguards, a few dots and a set of shadowbolts takes care of most things.. To shadowbomb: Speccing demo for levelling gives you the advantage of always having a tank with you, and I've found that invaluable.. especially after getting the FG.. Now at level 80 I can do tons of cool stuff with my demo spec. As for the options of having multiple specs, since I am multiboxing, it means that whatever key I press, gets copieed on all the warlocks, so if I hit 2 (in my current setup, as 2 is my main attack button(1 is my follow/assist macro)), all 5 warlocks cast shadowbolt simultaneously. So when it comes to speccing them up, it is almost a must to have specs that have a short and easy rotation.. At the moment, I do the following rotation as demo. 4xAgony + 1xElements, Corruption, Immolate, SB, SB, SB, Corruption, Immolate, SB SB, Agony etc etc.. Basically I time all of them after the timers on my main screen. Buuut.. as I said, the problem is that I can't seem to shell out enough dps.. I know I've shit gear atm (full frostsavage with a few crafted and raid epics spread out around them) (I'll list them all at the bottom so you can check them out) In fights where I can use SoC (I use 3 or more targets as a rule), I vary around 1.7-2k dps, but in single target bossfights, and on the training dummy I average around 1.3-1.5, which is just not good enough.. I heard someone mention that there is a spec where all you do is basically spam shadowbolt, filled up by immolate, and aided by curse of elements.. but I just can't figure out where to stick my points to be as useful as possible for my guild when they need me to fill spots in 25mans.. Having a high dps, 2-3 spell rotation would also make it viable for me to use 4 warlocks along with my priest healer main. As for the different fights, spreading out etc isn't usually much of a problem.. I've got a good variation of formation, spread out, follow etc etc macros that helps me take care of that. There are videos on youtube, search for "gbremset" and you'll find a couple from back when I did SM, and I plan on recording and adding more over the next few weeks. After levelling 5 characters one by one, I got tired of that, and multiboxing is the perfect challenge for me.. I get to do stuff on my own, trying to clear instances etc.. I've done Attumen in Karazhan, VH normal along with quite a few others. And there will be more coming as I get better. Oh.. and I'm planning to record Kara again tomorrow after the servers are back up. Thanks for all tips and help so far, and as soon as I get a good raiding spec set up, I'll post a video of my first few raid boss kills on utub. -Gizmo- Team Infinite Reality Eleathus, Eleathine, Eleathina, Eleathera, Eleathon (level 80 Human warlocks) Team shapeshift: Eothera, Eothina, Eosanna, Eoanna, Eothine (level 23 NE Druids) Team Moooh: Emberhoof, Emberhorn, Emberbull Embertail, Emberhide (level 7 Tauren Shamans)

oh, I just noticed that somehow the formatting of my post was messed up and it's almost unreadable. Anyways, the highest dps spec for low gear levels is anything with a Felguard. Ideally you take 00/41/30 and dot dot Nuke (Incinerates btw, not SB's). I'd suggest using Curse of Doom since it lasts for a minute, and you can drop Corruption from the rotation if that's too complicated so you end up with Immolate and spamming Incinerates, plus having your Felguard beat the shit out of the boss. Oh and warlock dps is quite gear dependent... |

Thanks for that.. I may just consider doing something like that then. I have usually no problem keeping the rotation as it is right now, immolate/incinerate rotation shouldn't be too hard either.
