Hello, everyone! I came across your sit while searching the net for information regarding different talent builds for warlocks. After an hour or so of searching, I thought I’d register here in hopes that those of you who are more experienced with this class will be able to help me through my current dilemma.

I’m a level 70 lock, and I’m having a difficult time deciding which spec will see the most benefits from my current gear and daily gaming habits. I’ve tried all three spec’s to date, and have to say that my personal favorite has been the destruction spec. Affliction was a close second, and I found Demonology to be rather boring. However, I’m not exactly sure I’m in the position to be carrying a heavy destruction spec.

On the PvE side of things, I still do quite a bit. I run the dailies, grind for primal and other useful mats, and run 5-man instances whenever I can find a group to do so. I have yet to run anything on heroic difficulty because I’m not sure I’m geared well enough yet. I’ve also been invited to Kara one time recently.

As for PvP, I’d have to say that I do battlegrounds on a fairly consistent basis (if you can’t tell from my gear). I’ve a full S1 set, and am now working on grinding out my S2 set. Do to my lack of luck with finding instance groups, I’ve been using PvP to upgrade my gear.

Having said all of that, my question is this: based on my stats at this point…which spec would I see the most benefits from (dps, etc)? Also, is there a particular spec that encompasses my PvE and PvP activities (to avoid the constant respec’ing from one to the other)?

Any help that you may be able to offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance, and I apologize if I come off sounding like a total noob

Re: [Gen & PvP] Aff vs. Destro: Which spec will be more beneficial?

the difference between dungeon gear and pvp gear is the amount of protection that is given. Pvp gear tends to have moore defense bonus and endurance is vital fer surviving a battlground. Offensively pvp gear has the ability to break through the target's resistance/armor/defense.

fer a fresh Outlander a good way to start jumping in BGs ASAP would be to get the rare Dreadweave set from rep rewards. you'll need honored with 5 diff faction LC,Shatar,Thrallmar,Keepers of Time,Cenarian Expedition. ITs very similar to the epic GLadiator's Dreadweave set from pvp rewards. Once you complete yer i mean your rare Dreadweave 5/5 armor jump in the BGs
