I dunno. Been playing with this build for about 3 weeks. It aims at getting Siphon Life with shadow embrace and CoE in affliction: and the goodies the rest of the 38 points in destro gets you, up till 2 points in Shadow and flame.

I lost all the health and mana i gained from the demo build and had to gain it back by getting enchants and gems.

Well, its become difficult to survive in bg's against melee fighters, as i lost Soul link and that extra health. But i enjoy going up against other warlocks and priest I thought with siphon life,Soul Leech, and drain life, it would make up for the lost defense soul link has to offer with the health regeration i have now. But no, i find myself doing more destruction attacks than drain life in pvp of course lol. The only way ive found myself taking down melee attackers is when my dots proc an instant shadowbolt and the figher procs my back lash. Boy do i enjoy takin down a warrior with such quickness!

But in Dungeons, it is very versitle. I can cast instants on multiple mobs and focus my destruction spells on one mob. I can recover mana by life tapping the additional life i gained with siphon life and soul leech, and i have my threat reduced on both, affliction and destruction spells. But alot of the time my crits on destro still cause too much threat and i die lol.

My question is, would this build work best based on your gear? Currently i have full season 1, and man.. that just aint cutting it in pvp. I want this build to work for pvp, but it just doens't have a defense! No instant howl, soul link, or shadowfury. Does anyone have experience with a similar build that can give me advice or just tell me this build isn't gonna get me anywhere? I'm scared to do arenas with this build due to the fact that i get eaten alive in bgs once i get attention on me.

I was thinking maybe getting more resiliance would help in pvp in order to stop the high crits from rouges and hunters.

I know im lacking in bonus damage, but thats another reason why i think this build is gear based. It's a change from your 23/34 builds, so its just a fun build. Don't know how it would do in raids though

For Dungeons, basically all builds work (except for raids of course).

For PvP.

1) This is a Gear dependent build, as most of your points are invested in utility talents. You need good gear to compensate the lack of soul link, Emberstorm, Shadowmaster, etc. Frankly, you will be too squishy and your instant bolts will be fairly underpowered.

For BGs, i think once you get enough gear, it should be fine and a lot of fun. With better gear, it can work in BG. This build also takes a lot of skills.

Unfortunately, it will be very hard to use this build in the Areana. (I have tried...lol). It just lacks punch.

NF/BL and its variations are fun to play with, but lack survivability for PvP and lack the top-tier +damage talents for PvE.

lol well it turned into a "help build talent" post once i got into it i guess, not my inital thoughts.

Ok ya, that other post helped frame what i had in mind. I'm lacking the extra stamina, so maybe takin a few points and investing in demonic embrace could help. But i still don't have all my end game trinkets and items, so i am missing out in a good chunk of stamina.
