3.0.2 to WOTLC Talent Spec (I.e. Still @ 70)

I'm going to try to get together a viable raiding spec for period between WOTLC hits and 3.0.2 is applied.

The threads I have read seem to concentrate at level 80 so I though this might be something different and of interest to all those locks who will be sitting in front of the IF lock trainer wondering what the hell to select come 3.0.2.

I'll draft some suggestions.....and would welcome the Dens (Likely Superior) suggestions...

Here is my linked raiding build. Going back to affliction. Wasn't able to get 5/5 shadow embrace, but couldn't stand the idea of less than 2.5 shadow bolt cast time!

I'm planning to test pure affliction, and I'm curious to see whether it is possible to break the 51 to 20 ration of primary and secondary trees in favour of other "pure builds"

updated for a full on affliction build.. with 2.5 second shadow bolts
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

and I was reading the everlasting affliction.. they gain 5% of bonus spell damage everytime they deal damage.. does this stack or is just 5% of bonus damage to each periodic damage done? (so it would base of periodic +5% of your spell damage).

Re: 3.0.2 to WOTLC Talent Spec (I.e. Still @ 70)

Are you guys linking PvP builds?

I wish I could be playing on the calc, though I know they are dated and am stuck waiting on next build before I can figure out what I am aiming for.

I've heard of a recent blue posting that Chaos Bolt will indeed be the highest DPS spell in a PvE destro locks rotation, so I still hold hope that Fire and Brimstone will be changed/buffed to be more than a 5 points spell to counter a PvE rotation that lowers the DPCT of the trees most buffed spell.

Demo was already going to hold out ok in PvE simply for Demonic Pact, even if its personal damage was low, or Meta wasnt worth it. Now it is looking not only extremely competitive, but incredibly fun to play with Meta being a kick *** CD.

Affliction is going to be rock sauce in my opinion. The CD on erradication kinda sucks, personally I would probably have prefered them to lower the haste buff and allow chain procs to help make rotations less painful with up and down speed casting. But with ruin now avail to a 51 point affliction lock and pandemics insane 100% return on a locks highest coefficient spells, there is no doubt that haunt is a very powerful spell.

Its going to be hard to relearn my old bindings to get great at affliction again after thumpin 5 for the last year but I always enjoyed not being grounded so to say when casting. Demo is temping, but I dont think I would ever enjoy raiding as demo but will no doubt be speccing it offnights :P

If I ever get some talent calculators that are up to date with a build that includes teh changes already on record from blues, you'll be seeing a lot from me :P
