Demon Spec for Raiding ?
I was on one of the Unlucky servers which was up and down like a yoyo yesterday so we basically got nothing accomplished last night. Played a bith the new abilities in town, got a hair cut, updated my mods but no way did we have chance to do any real raiding. Meanwhile I am really struggeling to find a really GOOD raiding spec withe felguard. I used to roll 6/45/10 which worked very good for me in the past now we have so many new options. Not sure if the imrpoved shadowbolt has been nerfed so bad its no longer worth it but i'm maybe looking at doing like a 0/51/10 or somethig like that. No more instant corruption i might was well ignore the tier 1 affliction talents. Someone PLEASE post there feedback on a demon heavy spec. |

Here's my demo build i used in Kara last night. I was 2nd on the overall in damage/dps chart where i usually was in first by alot. A ret pally owned everything doing like 4% more damage. DPS was in the mid 900's where it used to be in the 1100-1200 range pre patch with 0/21/40. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft All in all i was happy with the results sort of because obviously if the ret pally was normal i'd be in first. A lesser geared Destro lock was 3rd behind me with a mid 800's dps and another ret pally in 4th. It was alot more fun to play and my rotation was Curse of Agony, Corr, shadowbolt. Popped Demon Empowerment whenever in was up as well as Metamorphisis. Meta defintely is cool and comes in handy in alot of situations. Felguard wasn't hard to keep alive. Hardly ever had to health funnel and he only died once on the beast trash right before Prince. I'm going to stay Demo this week for Gruuls/Mags/ZA and then try Destro next week. I know for sure i will be leveling Demo. I hated Affliction. Not a fan at all. |

I used this build in Hyjal last night, and whilst we only did the Alliance camp I was happy with it. Its a lot of fun to play with, if you liked builds like the one you said you used to use (quite similar to my old build) I think you'll enjoy it. Meta adds a lot of depth to play, as you have to determine when to use it and whether to risk getting into melee range in order to use immolation aura. Demonic pact is pretty much always up, and with it and trinkets I passed 1600 spell power. Charging into trash waves and using immol aura and chaining SoC produced a lot of threat and damage. I'm afraid I can't give you any hard DPS figures, because all the damage meters were broken. I suspect it was probably doing less damage than other warlock trees/top players on boss fights, but on trash the damage was awesome. Hope that helps

I used the following in BT last night http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?warl...00500135231310 With my gear, I was able to keep demonic pact up about the whole raid for every boss fight. I am still waiting for the WWS report to be posted, but I was able to keep quite close with the other 2 locks, one was Aff, the other Destro. |
