NEW: Level 70 Raiding Builds (Post 3.0 - Pre WotLK)
Patch 3.0 brought a lot of changes, especially to spells and talents. But Wrath of the Lich King is still a few weeks away, and there is of course the time between now and leveling to 80. A lot, if not all of the current raiding build threads in here will become obsolete and need to be redone, from scratch once level 80 is available and people have had time to play with different builds for a while. Until then, I figured it would be a good idea to collect all the 'Post patch 3.0 - Pre Wrath of the Lich King Raiding Builds' that people are using. Basically, what is being used from now until Wrath of the Lich King and level 80 to raid.

I use Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft DPS is decent, but it takes a while to get used the rotation. Rotation; Curse of Agony > Immolate > Conflagrate > Immolate > Chaos Bolt > Incinerate > Incinerate > Incinerate > Incinerate > Refresh Curse of Agony or another Incinerate > Conflagrate ect.. |

I've got a somewhat similar specc. However I'm considering to put 3 in soul leech and 2 in improved as it would be less downtime. Else I'd say that specc looks good and same with the cast sequence. However I have not tried affliction specc yet so perhaps that one is better? |

Every lock nowadays ( at least in my guild.. ) wants to go Affliction, and theres no way 1 raid can handle 3-4 Affliction locks. But yeah, I do think Affliction is better the higher content you tackle, considering the higher you get the more you have to move around. |

Firstly I like the Distro specs that are posted so might try those out and compare it with my current gear using some stats addons, but currently I am running A demo heavy spec and actually really liking it. Will post it here for others. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft If you use Demonic Tactics and Improved Demonic Tactics with the new Demonic pact it procs the raid wide buff often. Use the Demonic Empowerment every time the GCD is up as well. Just turn off the anguish on the felgaurd in groups. In raids depending on the situation you can still use the imp if needed. I have noticed with this build the output of my SB is fairly consistent around the 3k mark, while a bit squisher than pre patch I can still take a bit of a beating and survive long enough to put out damage. I do not think I have pulled agro with this build yet. It is a bit low on Burst DPS, but on long fights (raiding and bosses) this build excels and I can usually climb back up towards the top of the Damge and DPS metters. Anyways since I am sure most of us will be trying out like 10 more builds in the next couple of weeks here is another one. |

I was thinking more like Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft Using Curse of agony, Immolate, confl, immolate, chaosbolt, incinerate etc as cast sequence |

Ok I (tried) the new full destr cycle and sort of got used to it, although it bent my head a little. Going to try good old demo sac but fire this time to better match the fire bent of the destr tree as it is now. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft |

Affliction Build Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft This what i have been testing so far i have been around 1400 dps which is up pre patch as affliction by about 350-400 dps. Tested with all curses so far CoE is the best then CoD then Curse of Agony obviously with a boomkin in the raid CoE will not be used so CoD and Curse of Agony were giving me roughly the same dps the reason i say CoD better than Curse of Agony its much easier to keep up CoD then Curse of Agony in the crazy rotation it takes to keep everything ticking. Also on everlasting affliction the way it is worded the 5% bonus from spellpower should stack and its not wondered if anyone else had any info on wether its supposed to stack with each tick or not. |

Zardie. I don't understand why you put 2 point in grim reach instead of the nightfall. As you don't take the destructive reach it's a waste. Moreover nightfall and corruption glyph stack together. I have tried an heavy destro build but can't reach the same dps with my T5 +badges stuff. In 25 raid I could reach 1400 in dps but now juste have 1200 dps is a challenge. I have tried the 0/3/58 spec with the following rotation: init: coe,corruption Cycle:Immolation,CB,Inci*x,conflag When I need to refresh corruption, or need to life-tap I do it during the Immolation uptime. With that cycle CB cast is not optimized but it was easier for me to manage this cycle. Do you think it will be a great upgrade in dps if I try to cast it every time cd is up regardless of the conflag haste bonus ? Isn't this better to cast Immo+2inci during the haste proc ? Inci is 2.2 sec while cb is 2. I'm not sure to keep conflag cause it's hard to use it at the right moment. Sometimes I have 1 sec remaing and could'nt do anything but waiting the last moment to conflag. Should I use it sooner and lose one tick of the immolation? Anyway I will try a 5/3/53(5 in imp corruption) and see if a simple rotation without conflag won't be better. |

Could you possibly make a thread for each spec? or some summary.. I have used one spec from day one since patch, my respec is still only 20g :P Its not optimal, but it is decent. And fun. But crawling trough pages and pages to read about different specs makes my head hurt. |
