i am not so sure that dps alone is good for the group. i am beginning to be a team player and that means more than just dps to me... although... knocking down a mob/boss quick is always a good thing... especially when they are carrying over one million in health. i try to play with a role for each player in the group. i will say that i am still new to this style of play since most of the time i solo on my toons... that isn't so much fun when groups can kick so much better. my daughter plays a hunter that is lvl80 so i get tips from her all the time too... lol. but gear is good as long as the one wearing it knows how to use it. by the way... my main toon that i have played since i started is now a lvl70 male night elf rogue in subtlety and my warlock is a female human at lvl78 in demonology (yet i don't hear too many discussions with demonology here). i liked the idea of having a pet and i like the locks better than hunters for reasons i don't even know, but i do like them much better. i do have a hunter at lvl37 (male night elf in marksmanship) so i do know what they are about too. |

I have played all 3 specs, for a decent time since 3.0 now, I HATE affl., however, I am curently raiding as affl. There is always a 2nd affl lock with me and the better geared destro lock cant touch either of us. I hate destro, SF is garbage, CB is garbage, and to try to get the timing of its rotation down is just about as nerve racking as affl, so why not play the currently superior spec? Demo is very comparable now and if the person behind the keyboard is a good player, it can seriously shine. Main thing though is what a few others have stated, you have to paly what is comfortable to you, no one else, just you. No spec truely sux right now so no raid leader shoudl have a problem with the spec you choose, and if he does, find a new guild. |

i want to say a big thank you to all the replies. ive always been destro in the 4 years ive played and dont get me wrong im not being moaned at from a raid point of view as i am consistantly in the top 7 but you always hanker to do more and no matter how hard i try i cannot currently compete with our aff lock and i was just thinking if you cant beat them join them after seeing the replies im going to stay where i am destro wise as its doing what its supposed to and ill bide my time for the next patch as theres some nice buffs for destro talents |
