Alright guys, I really need help. For a while now I've been having problems with my spec and/or cast rotations. No matter what spec I have tried, rotation I have tried, anything, I can't keep myself in the top 5 in 10 mans, the top 10 in 25 mans, or even above 1500dps in heroics.

The spec I've been running lately has been a 3/13/55 destro spec that I picked up off wowwiki - Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
I tossed the extra 1 point into Shadowfury for an extra AoE for such things as the XT-002 fight.

I would like to try to have a spec for running heroics that'll keep my dps and damage high AND another spec for raiding that'll get my dps and damage back up where it once was.

Any help with this would be amazing.

try practicing on the heroic dummy.. if your gear is good and you are hit capped, then you should be able to do over 3k self-buffed. I'm sure you've read up on the correct rotations etc. a lot of it comes down to timing the casts right so you're not sitting idle.

i am still trying to learn being a warlock myself but the spec i was given is a 0-41-30 demonolgy. my rotation was given to me and now i cannot remember it exactly since i am playing my main (rogue) but if you really want to boost your dps then i suggest using reign of fire aoe as much as you can with multiple mobs... that boosts your dps and overall greatly... but other than that you might fall behind and not make the top list... mages do massive damages but your reign of fire rocks the dps house... that is about the best that i can offer but try it and see what you can get... enjoy

I have the same problem as you do Oph. Although I just started to use the destro spec and am still getting used to my spells and whatnot. My gear was/is also directly affecting my dps i find. You have some pretty good gear but what I see is that is it socketed mostly crit which to my understanding is more important to PVP. I found that as I got better haste my dps got better as I could cast faster. From what I understand, a lock should be hit capped in heroics for better dps. I have been asking around and of course, i get diff answers from everyone, but I have noticed an increase in my dps after stacking more hit and haste. I am still not top 5 in dps in a 10 man, but it is improving....

Re: Speccing Help Needed

Not to be rude but your hit is a bit low and your haste is terrible ... drop your crit to 20 to 25% and increase your haste as close to 500 as possible .. then your rotation as destro should be something like

Curse - Immo - Conflag - Choas Bolt - Incin until immo is up again which is like about 4 incinerates

You could also if you have the Life tap glyph start with that to get the spell power buff ... Also remember you only do LT and COD the first time through your rotation ...

Life Tap - COD - Immo - Conflag - Choas Bolt - Incin until immo is up again which is like about 4 incinerates

Just my thoughts .. in 5 mans Im at about 2500 DPS ... 10 mans 3500 to 4000 dps and 25 mans 4500 to 5000 dps .. it is not the best i have hear of but this should at least give you a starting idea of where to go

Good luck

The reason you're not getting many responses is because everyone is trying to be nice. By looking at your armory, it appears you have done zero research on warlock mechanics. I don't think I saw a single correct gem in your gear. You need to do a lot more reading and less posting.
