Help me, I'm broken! So ive been playing demo 5 years now and i have recently quit for 3 months and came back. Granted i rank and raid in us top 300+ guilds. Im nothing special just a good lock.I have written guides been top in world but need some help on new stuff. Now that being said i just cameback to the game and i have some questions since im doing awfull granted behind gear |

1. Yes to both. Incin spec is for the lazy demo lock imo that can't handle multiple fillers when MC procs. It is also only decent for single target fights which would be...Ultraxion...that's it.... 2. Mastery build. But both do benefit from a prepull gear swap just because both specs mastery would still be stacked. 3. Since you can't actually cast corr/bane at the same time due to them both incurring a 1.5sec GCD, it would be beneficial to cast your most damaging and longer lasting spells while under the meta effect. Now if you are just trying to get your WoU stacks up then I would personally cast corr/bane/immo in that order and recast corr/bane once you pop meta before the first tick (of bane at least, odds are corr will tick once or twice). 4. Again, incin spec is retarded. Look at your WoL for corruption damage. Let me know how wonderfully low that overall damage is. Looking for an extra tick on a weaker dot is not something to push for, the 1993haste threshold for demo is nice to get to but by no means necessary. Ideally you should be looking more towards the 1804 breakpoint as that adds an additional tick to immolation aura and would be considerably more damage than a single corruption tick. Really you have 1993 just to have an additional 4% chance to proc a free shadowbolt from GoCorr...that is it. |

Morchok, Ultraxion, Zon'ozz(Depending on difficulty and your assigned tasks), Hagara. Your spec will be determined by how you and your guild approach encounters. If your raid leader only wants you to attack Amalgamations, there's no reason to be shadow bolt spec'd. If you are doing Morchok, you better not be running between the 2 of them. Holy period batman. It sims lower except on Ultraxion heroic. At this stage, heroics are the only thing on my mind. So it isn't opinion, it is fact that it is the weaker of the two builds. You play a warlock, you should multidot everything you possibly can in order to help out the raid clear content and down bosses. Sometimes Teon, you need to realize that perhaps it is your advice that could be incorrect. L2lock son. |

It sims lower for who? You do realize that the specs are substantially different in dps scaling and stat weights when compared to the lolegendary and the lightning rod right?. The Legendary puts a stat preference due to benefit on mastery. You can not compare simcrafts with a Legendary to Simcrafts with the Lightning Rod, the proc from the Legendary for Affliction on Ultrax is valued at approximately 2600dps, whereas it's value for Demo plummets to a 1300dps average. But I just relay the actual statistical data in my posts, instead of blatantly assuming everything is equal and saying "simcraft tells me to eat soup with a spoon" |

test..test..test. I offer simcraft since I doubt many people that come here have the ability to obtain all of the gear and swap it in and out to test numbers. From my personal testing over a month of ultraxion attempts on my main and on my alt warlock with varying gear levels it comes out lower dps. Sure there are other factors that one must include like game latency, comp. latency, server latency, etc... but in the end, it still sims lower bud. For your gear, perhaps it sims higher at this point in time, but overall it is a less ideal build for demo at about halfway BiS w/ and w/o legendary. |
