Re: SoC
As affl I use SoC, still has the same hatred inducing quality as it did in BC, however, when using my destro offspec I get a greater dps from RoF, has to do with the destro tree buffs to fire damage that effect RoF. Trying using RoF if you are hybrid or destro and see what your dps does. |

If you are FG/Ember now, with all the talents in Fire, I would recommend using Rain of Fire. RoF does really good damage (I would say SoC for Affliction and RoF for FG/Ember or Destro due to talents). |

Re: SoC
i use SoC quite much. the thing is, the target of the seed takes less damage than the mobs around it. maybe that's your case here. the skull and X die faster coz the other dps'ers target them first. thats why they are marked in the first place

Re: SoC
After swapping back and forth, I find RoF is all I bother to use. Partly that's because I'm Meta specced with Molten Core, so I toss a couple Curse of Agony up to proc MC, then just RoF. Or if it's up, Meta just before the tank pulls, couple Curse of Agony, Immo aura, RoF... or the Meta-bomb as I like to call it. Just make sure you have a good AoE tank before you Meta-bomb. And hope you don't aggro a patrol while immo aura is up. /asplodeI would need to be in a situation where the trash lived a LOT longer to get a couple of seeds in before the RoF. Even then, I'd only do that when I didn't have Meta and Immo Aura going since they all die fast when I do that. SoC can be useful when things are moving though. If my tank is running around gathering up mobs, or the mobs are punting him around (H-VH squads) they may not be stationary enough for RoF to work. In those situations, seeding is far better since the seeds move with the mobs.

Thanks for thr replies. I have noticed RoF doing much more dps, & it also doesn't aggro pats from outside the AoE, & I think your correct about +fire damage. now as I can't remember when last I used a shadowbolt. I have also started using rank1 LT to proc the LT glyph as I find that a life tap now drops my health around 20% per tap which can scare the healers quite a lot.
