Seed of Corruption
Question about this... I see that its a 2 second cast, and that one corruption can be on a target at a time from the same lock, meaning you cannot use Seed of Corruption on a target that you also have corruption on. This leads me to believe that the improved corruption talent will work with Seed of Corruption as well to make it an instant spell. Has anyone heard any differently or any specified information as to whether this is the case? |

I find it extremely doubtful that it will. Note that the Imp Corruption talent says that it "Decreases the casting time of your Corruption spell by X", not Corruption spells. An instant cast 1k aoe* which is spammable would be somewhat overpowered, methinks :P *1k AoE since it goes off once ~1000 damage is done to the target, which is absolutely nothing in a group situation.

There's nothing in Seed of Corruption saying it can only affect one target at a time. It *does*, however, say that only one Corruption spell per Warlock can only be on any one target at a time. That just means that you can't put Corruption *and* Seed of Corruption on the same person. "any one target at a time" doesn't mean that it can only be on one target.

My bad, I thought it said Only one Seed of Corruption. You are correct, Soni.  Edit: Though it says the same for Curse of Exhaustion, meaning it's spammable now?

the more i read the tooltip the more i think that seed of corruption is going to benefit from any talent buff that regular corruption can get. while it looks like it can be talented down to an instant cast it looks like it is going to be a projectile (like death coil) so it wont quite be an instant effect. also make sure you read its tooltip correctly, once you hit a target with seed of corruption and it takes 1044 total damage from ANY source, the seed explodes. if you aren't careful in crowded pve situations your going to have some serious aggro problems, aside from losing a lot of the dots effectiveness. |
