Huge Drain Life nerf on the way
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...sid=1&pageNo=4 We also plan to have healing reduction effects affect all drain spells and abilities. As the example that most people bring up, Mortal Strike will affect Drain Life. |

To be completely honest, I'm shocked that MS does not currently affect drain life. It's unfortunate, but it really does make sense. |

It's not a nerf - it's a bug fix. Absolutely nothing to QQ about. Seriously how would you like MS to only work against certain classes and not others? Say works for priest heals, but doesn't work pally heals. Or how about you can only seduce humans but not gnomes? Or may be death coil working on all races except gnomes? Perhaps even better - if you drop your dots on a priest he will take no damage at all. But the debuffs will still be there... Get the drift? |

Yea im surprised it didn't affect it already to. I agree Neith, it isnt a nerf, it should be reducing the effect. I mean drain life does in fact 'heal you. |

nerf or no nerf, drainlife is absurdly overpowered, so if it's either a nerf or a bugfix, it's both needed to keep the balance. |

meh, doesnt really make a huge difference, since if your draining life against a warrior, any decent one will use pummel to interupt anyway |

I dont mind it too much, but in my opinion it will mainly benefit the 2 classes that needed it the least. Mehh, at least now i have a small hope that QQers start focusing their spam threads in some other class forum. Its not a big hope, probably they will begin a LoS nerf campaign next week.

I wonder if this is going to affect PVE encounters like Netherspite? (Currently you can use Drain Life and Siphon Life to take the Dominace beam for longer without draining healer resources) |

Actually being affected by only healing reduction effects is better than a total DL damage nerf. Of course we will be having hard time while "soloing" the warriors and rogues but it is a rare situation as no one would like the shadow school being locked by pummel or others, using DL in public. |
