5/35/21 vs. UA/Destro
I have been Locking since WoW release and am currently in a BT/Hyjal guild. Everyone talks at length about 21/40 vs. 41/0/20 and the pros and cons but what I haven't seen anyone talk much about is the HUGE change to tier5 2 piece bonus which suddenly makes raiding with Succubus not only viable but completely OP. We have very well geared 21/40 and UA Locks in our guild and they do very good dps but I can outdps them all without much effort and by ALOT using a 5/35/21 build with a Soul Linked Succubus dpsing as well. You get more Health, more Mana, more Spell Damage, and take less damage as well to boot. Not only that but you are constantly healing your demon with every DoT tic or DD spell you cast. Consider.. 30 more damage from Improved Fel Armor (plus you get healed for more as well). A bunch more spell damage from Demonic Knowledge (over 130 for me). 10% more overall spell damage from Master Demonlogist 5% more spell damage overall from Soul Link + you get hit 20% less hard. I like having the instant Corruption ticking as well so I havent tested this out with the 5% more crit option from going with 40 points in Demo. With Devastation I get enough though and I just cant deal with a casting time on Corruption. With all the extra spell damage I do use Immolate as well as it puts out some nice dps. The Succubus lashing away the whole time is sweet as well for it makes the best DoT in the game as it takes no Mana and you dont need to refresh it. Be careful not to send the demon in though on a mob the cleaves  .So you all know as well, I was a UA lock for the past 5 months or so before patch 2.2 came out and modified the 2 piece bonus. I decided to try this out and now I dont want to stop raiding with it. |

personaly I think builds like this are good. Altough I would go for the 5% extra crit and put 1 point in corruption, this makes the GC almost aslong as the cast time ;) |

I prefer 1/39/21 or 0/40/21 for PvE, but yeah, it's a lot of fun. |

Sounds interesting, ill try it when i get 2 pices of T5. I would be gratefull if any lock with this buld could provie a link to a WWS report.

Thanks for linking the build. I was offline for a bit. The succubus really never dies unless you are fighting boss that casts a spell that hits the entire raid for about 7k+ damage. If the boss fight does that you may as well just soul link the imp. You will still do a ton of damage. For mobs that cleave I usually dont bother sending in the pet. You can dps the Lurker Below fulltime with it though. |

I should log out with Fel Armor on and the Succubus so that you guys can see all the extra +damage you get. It is pretty crazy. I sit well over 1400 shadow damage unbuffed. I'll activate it tonight when I get home from work so you can see the bonuses in action. Take into account the the 15% extra damage you get is NOT on there. Like SM, ... Soul Link and MD are not calculated on the stat sheet. |
