Destro or Aff ?
Ok here is my armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?...searchType=all Now I've been affliction for some time now and it has always been really great dps usually # 1 or #2 on the dps charts. Recently since I've been doing TK and SSC I have not been able to get higher then #5. Is it time to swith to the 00/21/40 build? Is my gear good enough for ? |

You need to be hit capped 202 even with affliction this will help with your dps due to shadowbolts, not to mention the fact that soulshatter isn't a affliction spell and is not effected by suppression. You still have a ways to go before using a 0/21/40 spec i would say 202 hit 15% (untalented) crit and 1k +damage. |

Quick answer: No. You could try a Destro build, SSC and Tk are better for Affl . If you are having problems in Dps... try and figure out a better rotation with your taps and shadow bolts. A dest. build is based almost entierly on +Hit and +Crit. Pick up your T5 and a few +Hit rating rings (CE ring is very nice) and the Belt of blasting and you should be solid. |

I had a similar spec until last week. Affliction isn't going to top the total damage meter charts on zones with much trash. Your dps on sustained fights is higher, but you lose out on trash mobs. Check you wws stats at the individual boss level. I was usually #5 on the overall damage charts, but #1 on the bosses themselves. Watch your dot rotations. Every dot does more dps than the shadowbolt, so refresh them whenever they go down. If you can hit 202 spell hit, it will also help, because even with a full dot rotation, shadowbolt is about half your casts, and misses on them hurts. I wouldn't even think of destruction until you hit the spell hit cap. |

You're never going to 'win' in dps charts in SSC/TK simply because of all the trash fights. If you're warlocking right though, you should always be top dps on the boss fights - the part that really matters. |

I went with destro when I only had 170 hit at the time, just for 25 man content. The reason was that my dps went up, as I was no longer needing to refresh every dot I had, and I could actually cast a shadow bolt. As my hit rating improved so did my DPS. But if you only have the max ability of getting 95 hit rating, I would still stick with affliction. Affliction is more beneficial to the raid, as Destro makes you just a DPS machine... |

Stay affliction till you reach 202 hit rating if you want to respec destruction. Now on instances with much trash usually we are "losing" in damage meters since the mobs are dying in a 20-30 seconds and other dps classes like rogues,hunters are faster than us. When I respec back to destruction having enough hit rating, my damage went up even to trash mobs since I rarely had resists on my spells plus my crits. |
