thinking about 0/40/21....

ive never heard much discussion about this build
sure, it has no imp corruption/imp life tap
but SL combined with ruin?
why not

+10% spell crit on destro spells
20% damage split with soul link
+5% damage increase with soul link
spell damage bonus from demonic knowledge
intensity and destructive reach

ive been thinking about trying out this build after i get all my pvp gear
im going after all the vindicator's gear
3 vengeful felweave arena pieces for crit and set bonus
2 dreadweave for damage and stam and set bonus
and having crit/damage/stam gems on them

if you look at my current gear, its not that great
i havent had the time to log on and do some serious pvp but ill be able to get said pieces before spring break
ive always loved destro, but it's hard to excel lately with resilience and my low crit rating, and either a fight is quick because my enemy's dead before i realised it, or it's quick because i got owned in the face
demo is fun, i love the buffs, but it feels empty
and affliction, what i currently am, is great, but not unique and feels as if i accomplished nothing after i killed some people

but SL/Ruin looks fun
the benefits of critting like a mofo with soul link

please leave me your thoughts on the 0/40/21 build
tell me what you think

If it is for PVP, just don't. But you may try something like 7/43/11. with FG.

If you go allout felweave and silk vindi set, then maybe worth going 5/34/22 (see armory link). I find it works lovely in BG's as most peeps initially think you are SL/SL, then get a nice surprise when your shadowburn crits on them or you start Searing paining them to death! So it hasn't quite got the survivability of SL/SL, but is a lot more fun to play. I even have fun in arena 2v2 with a sl/sl lock! Its not gonna get you high up the charts, but if you have fun, then what the hell!

0/40/21 is a great sbolt turret build that crit's often and very hard. It is a great PVE build that provides great bursty DPS and low threat generation (with the imp), as well as some raid utility (fat health stones and imp. blood pact). Ive used it very successfully in Khara. Its a good destruction damage based build for those who aren't walking around in T5 gear or better but want to see lots of big numbers.

That said, it is a very immobile build and thus not very optimal for pvp. While you are winding up those big hard hitting shadowbolts, you will be a sitting target with a Kill Me Please sign on your back.
