Wrath Of The Lich King Builds?

Hello. I am just curious, which is the best build in Wrath of the Lich King for leveling?

I was Destruction Pre LK for raiding, I leveled to 71 with Destruction...

People are telling me I am doing it all wrong.

What spec should I go? If you could post the links... It would be great.

Thanks, Epicphail.

Re: Wrath Of The Lich King Builds?

I have been using a heavy Affliction from 3.02 till now, a 56/0/10

The moment I hit 71 I respec'd to 21/41/0 Siphon Life/Felguard

Thats what the build should be, I screwed it up and will have to respec to fix it

What you should do, is play what you enjoy playing. Warlocks are blessed that all three trees and several combinations of the three are all playable as leveling specs.

A full affliction haunt build can kill stuff very fast. A full affliction build can dot the crap outta 3-5 mobs and once and not even slow down. A full affliction build has basically unlimited health and mana and never ever needs to drink or eat.

Felguard with Siphon Life gives you the tanking/melee DPS goodness of the felguard with our now instant corruption and siphon life. My current tactic is Corr, SL, Curse of Agony, /dance. Might Drain Life a little or Shadow Bolt if Nightfall procs, but I really don't need to. The Health Funnel is actually worth using now, and with 2/3 mana feed, I can fully replenish the felguards mana in 3-4 life taps. WIth him taking all the damage, its real easy for me to drain life the health back on the next mob.
Note: I have 2T5, which makes a big difference with its healing the pet bonus. If you don't have 2T5, put 2 points in Fel Synergy, it does the same thing.

Re: Wrath Of The Lich King Builds?

I am deep affliction now. I tried to maintain my 0/40/21 build but it was too slow....I was spoiled by levelling from 1-70 as Affliction, and the addition of Haunt is straight up incredible.

Doing the Kasskar Village quests to the NE of Valiance, I pulled every raider on one loop around with dots, and /gasp, hellfired to kill them!

As Haunt is a direct damage Affliction spell (that crits alot) I was, on top of drain life and Siphon life, getting intermittent heals from that and death coil for over 3K each....which means the amount of damage I take is completely irrelevant. If you want a tank, the felhunter isn't terrible and you have endless mana.

On beta I went Metamorphosis demo and I would pull like 4-5 mobs with SoC then pop meta and immolate.....that was pretty funny.

Re: Wrath Of The Lich King Builds?

Thankd for your replies. What caught my eye was the full affliction build, "Unlimited health / mana"

Could you show me a build for this? I would appreciate it.

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

I'm going to finish filling out Shadow Embrace then probably head towards Death's Embrace, then from there maybe Suppression or deeper into destro, dunno yet.

What I do know is that what this build does is allow you to do is a lot of damage while constantly healing yourself. CoW let's you take a little less punishment from each melee mob and Fel Concentration = drain tanking.

Re: Wrath Of The Lich King Builds?

Epicphail... Akasha resists the urge to make a pun and bites her lip... ouch There are SO many talent build threads related to Wrath of the Lich King that really, we don't need another one. As much as I don't like to close threads (have been moving them of late instead), there are more than enough on this topic - needing 'general' Wrath of the Lich King build info.

Please see any of the following threads to begin with:
If you can't find assistance in any of those threads, then please feel free to ask for more help. If it's general help, then post as a reply to the thread most related. If you have worked out a talent build and just need some critique or fine tuning, then we have a special forum just for that: Talent Builds - Help

Be sure to read the sticky (which is in multiple areas, including at the top of this forum) titled How to submit a talent build question!

Thankyou and welcome to The Den.
