SO Drain Soul Execute is pretttttty sweet

Big numbers, ticks that are about the same as your average shadowbolt crits if not more as well. Thing is keeping affiction debuffs up so you get more benefit from Soul Siphon during the execute.

Instructor Razuvious : Fearsalot
For Razuvious I had average ticks of 9300 on my DS, 90% uptime on Haunt which was prolly the best I did on any of the fights that night.

----

Patchwerk : Fearsalot
Patchwerk : the ticks were lower (8111 average) however I think I mighta started draining a little below the 25% mark without that trinket proccing, mighta had SL down or something too during drain not sure :(

------

Archavon : Fearsalot

Again 7980 average ticks, maybe the same deal with trinket or having a debuff drop. I was on CoE duty for all these fights. Also picked up a lot of upgrades those runs so hopefully next raids the damage will go up by a lot. Damage coulda been better here, I wasnt flasked and had no Food buff till we hit naxx after :x

I run 54/0/17 at the moment, with 2/3 in Cataclysm due to my current hit with my gear. Hopefully will change that around when I get more hit. At about 10% now with gear (was 11% before when I was raiding with the spec).

All in all, I'm enjoying Affliction, it's pretty damn fun.

Click on the tab Damage Output for each of those links and it shows the dps and stuff for each fight. Clicking the Auras + Gains tab shows uptimes for buffs/debuffs

From the tooltip, if the target is below 25%, drain soul ticks for four times the normal damage. Unfortunately, if you have drain soul up before 25%, you actually have to stop cast then rechannel to get the buff. Also find myself with an abundance of shards and nothing to use them on :( I'll reinstall loggerhead and get a parse, but the largest i've done thus far is 10.2k tick and it was on patchwerk.

I understand the tooltip. I don't get how your getting 9-10k ticks. Given i haven't tested it myself in a raid environment with the proper spec for it, but still. Max i got was 4k.

In the SimulationCraft reports that the one dude is putting together is is figuring some like 11-12k ticks. I think the difference, Marlboro, is that soul siphon affects drain soul. The more debuffs you have up on the guy the more modifiers you will get on your DS.

Do you use Death's Embrace?

Wouldn't that push it up even further at that point?

ya if you hover your mouse over average I was getting 11940 max tick on that Raz fight and thats with badge/10man gear.

This is something thats gonna take practice and more raiding to get used to. There were some times where I forgot to start executing 25% on a few bosses.
