Mana Consumption Issues
Just curious if there is any news on revamping some of the mana consumption of spells in any of the future releases? Running heroics, on boss fights/trash and or running 10 man's I have to stop and drink between every pull. Yea, I can life tap and hope the healer feels like giving me some love, but I am curious if anyone else is feeling the same pains regarding spell mana use? I am currently 0/31/40 - casting immolate, corruption, Curse of Agony, incinerate (spam) on bosses. I got the corruption glyph, imp glyph. On trash, I usually only throw Curse of Agony, incinerate (basically to molten core proc). |

Most healers I've ever ran with have always told me "Zarth it's ok to life tap" when I start getting low on mana. I think they've grown into it and accepted it's part of being a healer if a lock is around. BUT I find it a little courtesy to drink when I can to give them the same respect. But to answer your question, I haven't heard anything about it. |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
Never had a problem, but I always Life Tap after a trash pull, and as often as needed in a boss fight. In a boss fight I won't Life Tap all my health away, but when I get between 40-60%, I'll pop one when all my DoTs are up. Besides, if things go well, I shouldn't get hit, if I do by the random charge or whatnot, it's the healers fault I died, not mine.(this is meant as a joke, you know, it's always the healers fault) The other thing, is sometimes if my mana is really low, and health is high, but healers mana is low, I'll LT to make my health and mana about even, maybe a little less health because of Fel Armor, and Eat and Drink, getting me back to full slightly faster. |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
well at the moment in 25 man i dont usually care about LT'ing too much cause of the ammount of AoE healing going on from CoH, CH, Wild growth etc so during fights in 25 man i tend not to worry, in 10 man it depends on what healers we have with us to how cearfull i am with my mana and wether i drink or not. I always drink when the buffs go up after a whip or before a boss attemt it doesnt matter if i dont have full health at the start of the fight but full mana is always a must. |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
Lifetap! When you have any running or movement to do, Fel Armor will bring you back up nicely. I tell my healers to not top me up that last 10%... Fel Armor will do that well enough. If I have to tap a couple or three times after lots of AoE, well I'll bandage. If the group is taking a break, then I'll eat/drink as needed, I might as well if everybody is waiting for the healer anyway. So bandage - and don't underestimate Fel Armor.

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
Yeah even as this deep destro spec right now I've just LT'd to keep it up, either fel armor recovered me or the healer did. If not and I actually need health I'd just pop another HS. |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
I Life tap to full no matter what and I wait about a second to see if I have heals incoming, if I don't, i eat or bandage. Most of the time I get healed after my taps. |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
Same here. Most of the healers in my guild will HoT me up if they see me tap. I even have a healer that will tell me when its safe to tap. I can then tap 3-4 times and either have multiple HoTs running or a big heal incoming. I even had a Pally use LoH on me during Loatheb last night. 32k heal FTW! |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
I was just curious, and yess, most of the time, I can get a HoT, but I noticed I have had to life tap ALOT lately. Maybe its my cast rotations. What are you guys doing on trash? Immo -> incinerate? Corruption Incinerate? Curse of Agony -> incinerate? |

Re: Mana Consumption Issues
The most complicated I get into on trash is Immolate > Incinerate. And I'm only going there if I am going to get more than two Incinerates off. If not, skip the Immolate entirely. If trash is living for more than 10 seconds (gargoyles in Naxx for example) I will go all out with Immo > Corr > Curse of Agony > Incinerate till death. But its rare mobs that have enough health to make that worthwhile. |
