Another shot at a Destruction Build
Here we go: Affliction Talents (16 points) # Improved Corruption - 5/5 points Reduces the casting time of your Corruption spell by 2 seconds. # Improved Drain Life - 5/5 points Increases the Health drained by your Drain Life spell by 10%. # Improved Life Tap - 2/2 points Increases the amount of Mana awarded by your Life Tap spell by 20%. # Improved Drain Soul - 2/2 points Gives you a 100% chance to get a 100% increase to your Mana regeneration for 10 seconds if the target dies while while you drain its soul. In addition, your Mana may continue to regenerate while casting at 50% of normal. # Amplify Curse - 1/1 point Increases the effect of your next Curse of Weakness or Curse of Agony by 50%, or your next Curse of Exhaustion by 20%. # Nightfall - 1/2 point Gives your Corruption and Drain Life spells a 2% chance to cause you to enter a Shadow Trance state after damaging the opponent. The Shadow Trance state reduces the casting time of your next Shadow Bolt spell by 100%. Demonology Talents (0 points) # None Destruction Talents (35 points) # Improved Shadow Bolt - 5/5 points Your Shadow Bolt critical strikes increase the next 4 sources of Shadow damage dealt to the target by 20%. # Bane - 5/5 points Reduces the casting time of your Shadow Bolt and Immolate spells by 0.5 seconds. # Shadowburn - 1/1 point Instantly blasts the target with 87 to 99 Shadow damage. Requires 1 Soul Shard. If the target dies from Shadowburn, and yields experience, the caster gains a Soul Shard. # Devastation - 5/5 points Increases the critical strike chance of your Destruction spells by 5%. # Improved Searing Pain - 5/5 points Increases the critical strike chance of your Searing Pain spell by 10%. # Intensity - 2/2 points Gives you a 70% chance to resist interruptiong caused by damage while channeling the Rain of Fire or Hellfire spell. # Ruin - 1/1 point Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Destruction spells by 100%. # Improved Immolate - 5/5 points Increases the initial damage of your Immolate spell by 25%. # Pyroclasm - 1/2 point Gives your Rain of Fire and Hellfire spells a 13% chance to stun the target for 3 seconds. # Emberstorm - 5/5 points Increases the damage done by your Fire spells by 10%. again, this is more of a Direct Damage focused PvP set-up, with Drains as my main support for them. I took Conflagrate out of the Set, because in the hectic state that group/faction PvP is...I can't see where I'd have the time to focus on the Immolate/Conflagrate combo to make it work to its fullest. With this set, I have mostly Fire Damage(Improved Searing Pain, HellFire, Rain of Fire, Immolate), with Shadowburn as an Insta, and the Proc effect from NightFall. and to support my damage, I have Improved Drains and my Curses/DoTs, and maxed out Life Tap to ensure that with good handling, I'll never be hurt for mana. I left Improved Drain Mana out, because of the damage factor, I won't be able to Seduce/Drain Mana in the future if my Drain Mana causes damage. However, I question the worth of Pyroclasm/Intensity. I am considering moving those 3 points into Improved Imp(for the extra Firebolt damage, and maxed out Stamina Buff). whaddya think? |

imo for pvp you need there are 3 important things Nightfall *Insta casts rule* Ruin *for awesome crits* Shadowburn *Insta casts rule* Improved imp *our best buff, pvp and pve* Demonic Embrace... *we need the stamina* as long as you have these Talents MAXED you should do well... IMO... RUIN>Dark Pakt for PVP that is... and you cant have both of them since you need 21 pts for ruin and 31 points for dark pact...thats 52 points and we only got 51... i just cant see how i would be able to have time to cast dark pact on my pet in the middle of a pvp battle.... this is all i can show you.. its the pvp build i will get once i hit level 60 Affliction Talents (22 points) Improved Corruption - 5/5 points Reduces the casting time of your Corruption spell by 2 seconds. Amplify Curse - 1/1 points Increases the effect of your next Curse of Weakness or Curse of Agony by 50%, or your next Curse of Exhaustion by 20%. Grim Reach - 2/2 points Increases the range of your Affliction spells by 20%. Nightfall - 2/2 points Gives your Corruption and Drain Life spells a 3% chance to cause you to enter a Shadow Trance state after damaging the opponent. The Shadow Trance state reduces the casting time of your next Shadow Bolt spell by 100%. Improved Drain Mana - 1/2 points Causes 15% of the Mana drained by your Drain Mana spell to damage the opponent. Curse of Exhaustion - 1/1 points Reduces the target's speed to 90% of normal for 12 seconds. Only one Curse per Warlock can be active on any one target. Siphon Life - 1/1 points Transfers 13 health from the target to the caster every 3 seconds. Lasts 30 seconds. Demonology Talents (8 points) Improved Imp - 3/3 points Increases the effect of your Imp's Firebolt, Fire Shield, and Blood Pact spells by 30%. Demonic Embrace - 5/5 points Increases your total Stamina by 15%, but reduces your total Spirit by 5%. Destruction Talents (21 points) Improved Shadow Bolt - 5/5 points Your Shadow Bolt critical strikes increase the next 4 sources of Shadow damage dealt to the target by 20%. Aftermath - 5/5 points Gives your Destruction spells a 10% chance to daze the target for 5 seconds. Shadowburn - 1/1 points Instantly blasts the target with 87 to 99 Shadow damage. Requires 1 Soul Shard. If the target dies from Shadowburn, and yields experience, the caster gains a Soul Shard.
