I saw this thread in the US forums and I thought, we should have that too! When I'm affliction, I love the time when the boss is under 25% and I manage to do Drain Soul right, I love the 10k ticks .In pvp (my destruction spec) I love it when I do the immolate-chaos bolt-conflagrate combo on a resto druid carrying the flag, when there are 2 guys beating on him but he outheals them (even stays above 90%). Can't outheal that, can you?

I'm the same as you when I'm playing affliction, managing the dots in between massive 12k DS ticks is incredibly satisfying:D When I'm raiding destruction I love how unpredictable my opening rotation can be. Are they all gonna crit? Is the tank gonna hate me? Needless to say my finger is always hovering over the SS button at the start of a boss fight. A special mention must go to my affliction quest rotration, Curse of Agony and corruption on everything that moves! It looks awesome on the Scarlet Onslaught island in Icecrown, especially when the Hunter mobs use the freezing shots that slow me down. There's nothing more menacing than a corpse moving at a snails pace killing everything around him as they try valiantly to bring him down, not realising that the very spells that are destroying them from within are out healing anything they can hope to do in return. |

In a battleground with full raiding gear when a warrior rushed me I managed to cast Immolate; Chaos Bolt; an Incinerate that got the Backlash buff; and finally conflagrate. I've no idea how much it hit him for but needless to say, he died instantly. Incidentally if all these crit (unlikely I know) that could hit for ~ 30K I'm guessing. Unfortunately I've only repeated this rotation successfully twice more since! I love seeing Curse of Doom hit for that much more because it got both the Pyroclasm buff and a crit. Also, any movement-dependant bosses where I time the movement so there is just enough time to get off my instant casts of Corruption, Conflagrate and CoD, before I move swiftly on to casting again. |

I raid as deep destruction, and I just love getting in that "groove" where everything times out perfectly, along with seeing the huge crits from conflag. And as pvp destruction, I love being able to solo-zerg a group of 3 or more people and usually come out alive due to all the CC available to that spec /flex But what i love the most is when my curse of doom gets the killing blow on raid bosses. It just solidifies the awesomeness that is the warlock on progression kills :p....I kind of wish it hit harder though, because it would be funny if it one-shot someone as we celebrate a progression kill |
