Emp Imp Procs - low?
I'm disappointed in the amount of empowered imp procs I'm seeing on wws. On Iron Council, which is a fairly long fight, I got 3 procs. I rarely see more than 5 per boss. I'm sitting at 19% crit, which is just fine for a destro lock. But as I consider picking up T9 for the 10% increase pet crits, I wonder if it's worth it to lose 4P T8, just based on the procs I'm seeing in WWS. I wish EJ would update some things, if you guys have seen a dps layout for T9 etc, would love to know where. |

Is your imp getting raid buffs? Kings, motw and arcane brilliance all add to your imps crit rate. Are the mobs getting the 5% crit debuff which helps you two fold because of empowered imp? Make sure phase shift is off and if no one else is doing it stack ISB (see my spec). |

I have the same problem. Checking some logs my imp's critrate seems to be around 15% on the same fights where I have 45%+ critrates. Discounting the F&B buff for Conflag, 4T8 for Incinerate and Emp Imp procs for me the difference is still 10-15% for no discernable reason aside from bad scaling. Oh I guess Devastation doesn't get converted to imp procs either. Another 5% explained.

I was under the impression the my pet receives the same buffs I do and there is no need to buff the pet individually, I 'll test it to confirm today. I've never seen EJ mention anything about keeping ISB up as a deep destro lock. I assume that would be a serious loss to overall dps. |

Just want to thank everyone for pointing out that my pet was phase shifted. I felt like a complete noob, but I appreciated the criticism. With that said, I just finished Ulduar, my pet only had priest/druid buffs, no pally buffs, no mage buffs, and I'm still getting a low proc rate on empowered imp. I got 8 on razorscale, 6 on council. That just seems low. I would love to see a wws from someone who had a high proc rate for empowered imp

what a noob i am!! i was wondering the same thing why my imps crit rate wasnt higher its cause the phase shift and here i was always gettin him out early when buffs were goin around thinkin he was gettin them ugghh! im so diassapointed with myself for not figuring out why he wasnt doin it thx guys!!

I tend to leave phase shift off theese days, that means that imps get as many buffs I do and if for some reason (ie. they start buffing after a wipe before I've summoned him) I irritate people asking them to rebuff the imp, but it does make a difference, though I will admit I wouldn't have a clue about things like crit stats... I don't know if anyone wants to have a look at our EoE and wipefest on 3-drakes up stats for Rokhul (with empowered imp): Wow Web Stats It looks like Abanip has a 15% crit rate, but I don't know if that's good or bad... :P Hope it helps someone somewhere... |

I've been wondering about the same lately. And if it was actually an equivalent buff to the nerf we had. One was permanent damage. If this procs few times i cant see it equivalent. But i digress i don't mean it As QQ. I'm not looking on some fancy webraid for my stats but i did set up my very usefull powerauras add to light up when i get my imp's buff from his crits. It probs with some frequency on low level mobs like regular outside instance 80s. But on elite and bosses its very different, its proc rate is way lower. I don't have the time to raid uld frequently but on a boss like patch i get it around 6 times, maybe a couple more. I find that too low considering the imp kicks a fireball every 2 secs on a fight that takes 240 secs, 4mins. So, lets say if shoots 120 fballs. 6 crits on 120 is just awfull. He is not shifted. I don't bother using that in ages, no point really. Dunno if it can be improved, i just always felt it was a poorly designed mechanism. |
