3.2 Demon Charge bug

I was looking into switching to a Demo build for the Demonic Pact buff because we usually don't have an Elemental Shaman in our 25-man raid group. However, I was practicing on the training dummy and found an annoying bug with Demon Charge. I press Demon Charge immediately after Meta and I hear the charge sound but my character doesn't move. I've tried this a bunch of times and the same thing always happens. Has anyone else encountered this? I've seen the same problem when fighting real mobs as well so I don't think it's related to the training dummy.

Re: Demon Charge bug

I know some people try to use Demon Charge to get in immolation aura range, then demonic summoning circle to get back out to max range, BUT I just do an instant cast (curse, corruption, or lifetap) while I walk in and same thing while walking back out.

Demon Charge and Demonic Circle: Teleport both take a global cool down and do zero damage, so they're a dps loss.

You have to be moving forward when you use the charge. If you're just standing still, it won't work.

I still think this is a training dummy bug, I've never been able to charge a dummy but regular mobs and bosses work fine for me.

Re: Demon Charge bug

I've always been able to charge a dummy and start it from standing still.

If this is how it's supposed to be working, then this is a new "bug/feature" since 3.2. One that I don't recall reading anything about being changed.

Re: Demon Charge bug

It doesn't work on dummies. Not the normal one's (which most raiders use since they don't carry a shadow priest around in their pocket).

And while Demonic charge isn't great for DPS, queue up Shadow Cleave, then Charge. At least you get something out of it since Shadow Cleave is on Next Attack and Charge is that attack.
