I'm not sure if they glyph is active on PTR, or if anyone tested it, but if it's up, how does it work? I understand that the time between ticks will be lowered, but are our DoT's based on time length or ticks? So will we get more ticks for the same amount of time, or will the DoT end sooner? The problem I see coming up with the latter is the ability to refresh corruption with haunt at a point with haste.

I've actually been wondering about that myself. I wish they would of clarified it a bit better. The difference between shortening the ticks and the length is pretty big imo.

Re: Glyph of quick Decay

dot duration are based on ticks. So you will have to refresh faster...

you need several thousand haste rating to run into problems with haunt refresh.

In theory, yes you would need a lot of haste, however not all fights allow you to cast haunt at the best possible time.

Also, could you post a link to the info about Dot's being based on ticks and not time? I haven't seen that anywhere, and the way all talents and glyphs are phased makes it seem based more on time. As something that gives you 3s more of a Dot wouldn't actually give you 3s if it were just based on Dot ticks with the new changes.

Re: Glyph of quick Decay

As I understand the glyph, you have the same amount of ticks in a shorter time (time here being impacted by haste). Therefore, for any given fight, you can get in more ticks through more frequent corruption refreshes. Since Corruption is refreshed by Shadowbolt, presumably you wouldn't need to worry about the shorter time between refreshes.

Yes, but tooltips stat dots based on time, not number of ticks, as well as talents are phased to add time, not extra ticks. Also, unless it's changed on the PTR, corruption if refreshed by haunt, not SB.

Does anyone know if this is active on PTR yet, and if so, has anyone actually tested it yet?

I don't mean to derail you're thread; but I have a question. In 10/25 raid considering that there is a boomkin in group and I do not need to use CoE; for overall raid damage is it better to use CoW?

For those wondering I created my account today so I can't create a thread.

I just have to wonder why no warriors. I mean I guess in 10 mans it might be a problem, but in 25 mans if you don't have some form of warrior to apply sunders there is something horribly wrong.
